Its very hard to choose to wait or to risk and invest now, the market is very volatil and anything can happen, recording we were at 1400 dollar at January and since then we had jumped to 2000, i would like to believe all changes will push price up but im not sure anymore.

So my initial plan was to invest more into bitcoin on a weekly basis but with the possibility of a split on August 1st I figured I'd wait a little. If there would be a split, there would certainly be a drop in price so maybe a good opportunity to pick some more up rather than doing it now. Normally I tend to make these kind of decisions for myself but since I don't fully understand what will happen August 1st I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Actually here the team of the Bitcoin network is himself not sure that what will happen because the trial of the sehwit2x is responding 80% , but here the chance to not us enough if we we have the segwir2x with error even with  0.01% 
So here main thing for us is that to make it successful by 100% otherwise it will remain normal network that was earlier with big block size .
So here more better for us that use the Bitcoin until 28 August and also make trading with your Bitcoin without any restrictions .

I will go with your friends suggestion.  Better buy some BTC because there is a huge possiblity that bitcoin price skyrocket after August 1.  There maybe lots of FUD spreading around but the update itself signals bullish bitcoin due to the fact that it is one to help solve the scaling problem of Bitcoin.

I will go with your friends suggestion.  Better buy some BTC because there is a huge possiblity that bitcoin price skyrocket after August 1.  There maybe lots of FUD spreading around but the update itself signals bullish bitcoin due to the fact that it is one to help solve the scaling problem of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not going to skyrocket you live in a dream. See the charts over the years were going back to high lows. You better sell and buy back a lot more in the future

If i was you i would wait for August 1st to buy because if the price get low you can buy more bitcoin and then wait for another pump to increase your gain!!

Read the thread posted by theymos, it is preferable that you do not send any transaction 12 hours before August 1, so if you are betting that the price is going to increase after segwit gets activated then you need to buy before that date on that date or hours before it.

I am not good at reading charts and predicting the future ,if you have any idea about it please describe it in details,one thing i know is that in a couple of weeks there is a BIP 148 upgrade and if that does not happen mutually then we will see a split and that might cause a crash,i am not too sure about it and that is the only possibility i see.

There is going to be a huge drop by then and probably investing in bitcoins would be more reasonable when the price would be as low as $1000 or $800. Like earlier, the price dropped below $850 and now again there's a possibility. But still the price crashing is itself going to have a negative effect on the market with panic sellers willing to dump all their coins. We may never even know what would be a good rate to buy bitcoins and unlike last time where there was only a speculation of hard fork, the price started increasing after a month or so but now if the same thing would repeat cannot be guaranteed.

When you have doubt of the price better not to sell pr just hold i just confuse too when the price of the bitcoin is decreasing i panic and then sell or my bitcoin instead of waiting to increase again once the fork happens theres no assurance that bitcoin price will be fall like the others prediction they just making people think to sell their coins lmao

Because it's very possible that the price of bitcoin will go higher after August 1. And if you will wait after August 1 the price can be higher already and you won't have any sense of buying on that stage because you'll regret that you never bought earlier. Good thing you have a friend that is suggesting you to buy more and it's like buy at your own risk.

But even he is bagholder of alt then he knows that when btc drops 1% his alts re going down 20% because SMART money are leaving crypto space.
As shitcoin holder he will lose 2x more as same time he is benefiting from btc rising 2x.
When BTC lose value -30% then his alts usually drop also -20% so at end he is -50%


I think that if you have strong hands then you should buy more before Aug 1 when BTC drama will be topping.
But there is possibility that price will nicely tank to 1000$ if HF happened most likely doe to Seg2x developer fuckup.


In reality Aug 1 is nothing to 2x HF part that is all.

i still hold my bitcoin untill aug1 came out, hoping and praying it will increase 
no hard feeling if bitcoin will down, its a high risk investment.
