What do you thin about eMulah (EMU)? See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=220530.0

Seems to be the first (?) altcoint that is not just a bitcoin-clone.

By the name, I assume it is an effort by devs associated with eMule, which is a good thing if true since they will have a lot of experience with P2P and security, and a ready-made community. The protocol certainly sounds interesting, although I have questions about the resilience to certain kind of attacks.

Very interesting concept, I plan to look into it.

Most Alt coins are completely pointless and just poor replicas of what's already out there with little to no improvement.

And none of them have offered anything in the way of major improvements over BTC.
isn't the Diff level / hash rate the only reason(s) peope mine them?

LTC is an exception, but there is profitability in new alts, pump and dump like FTC? pls tell me if i'm wrong?  Smiley

I Concur - Altcoins are like penny stocks. A few succeed, the majority are worthless. That's what most day traders do to make a buck.

devcoin is suxx

Only if "Is Suxx" means "Is AWESOME" Smiley

Haha, agreed. I started writing for devtome about two months ago and I'm going long on devcoin. I've sold a bit for bitcoin but I'm definitely holding fast on at least half of my earnings from my shares.

FinShaggy, you're killing it right now! How do you write so much?

I love Devcoin! Nice to see an ethical crypto

There are many alternative currencies. Bitcoin has the advantage that it has value in trade online through a growing number of outlets and of course silkroad.

Second that, SR was the critical kickstarter for bitcoin, and litecoin is more than
just another alt because of Atlantis. Ok, thats exaggerated, but still... you can buy cheap E with it, it must have value.  Wink

Ignore the panic inciting AW's, watch and make your own mind up about which alt coins are worth it. BTC relies on LTC now, if LTC were to fail BTC would go with it.

People are trying so hard everywhere in these forums to entice fear about litecoin. That's so shady. Whatever all the cheaper to buy.

Well, wait to see the reaction of the market when (if) asics are mass released. Exchange prices will go up and (ordinary) people will loose interest. No more 'make free digital money'.
Ltc won't have this problem
