I fully agree with your opinion. It's better to stay away from pumping groups as soon as possible rather than got a trap.
Why ?? Because pumping group only use their slow member or newbie to gain more bitcoin when they dump coin

I also received a pm here from a brand new account last May offering to join them. He said the only thing I need to do is make a couple of forum post and I will get an advance notice on which altcoin is going to pumped.

When I ask him to use his/her real account instead of brand new account, he said he ain't monitor or use that account which is obviously just using for screwing others. After he seems i'm not interested in joining, he stated that there are enough people who joined. It's nice I didn't get easily fooled.

You should definitely report users like that, it's definitely not cool to receive spam like that from people you don't know.

I wonder how many people would actually fall for something like that, must be quite a few, since I've seen so much pump/dump related spam the last couple of weeks.

The only thing you can really do about it is warn people as much as possible.

I've seen this phrase in so many garbage shitposts, it's unbelievable.  If the search function wasn't so damn broken, I'd see how many times it's been said.

Pump groups are retarded, as are the people who participate in them.  It's a ridiculous manipulation of the market.  I get wanting to make money, but it's just stupidity all around the table.  These groups used to happen in the stock market years ago and they got outlawed.

Yes there might not be a registration payment but the fact that you will buy the coin that they will be pumping is where you will lose it.
It is a selfish move by the leader which have the highest amount and the one who will make a profit out of it.
I would rather invest in bitcoin which they cant pump just like that except they are a group of millionaires.

Don't ever trust those groups because group admin will be buying all the shit coins which don't have much volume before pumping it. Then he will give suggestion to buy that coin to the group, and he will start selling at higher price. Only he and maybe some otherwise who have bought coins before the pump only can make a profit, and most of other group members will surely lose their money. Don't join these groups and waste your hard earned money.

Yeah i realized that that's how they do it. It makes sense that they tell you to keep vigilant because the pump will only happen for a few mins and you have to be fast on your fingers to ride the pump. Though admittedly, i was able to earn from these pump groups a coupleof times.

Haha, just newbie and person not have knowledge about crypto market believe this groups. They not know the money can earning in market is from loss trader (buy high, sell low) transfer to lucky trader or good trader (sell high, buy low). When join this group, they are will become to pig and chicken for admin group eatting everyday

Lately, I have seen some promotions in Facebook on becoming a member of pumping groups for free. yes, it does not cost anything except registration and some push in the keyboard. Now, the question in my mind is if pumping groups can be effective in making me some money.

Searching on the same topic, I received some warnings that pumping groups are there to dry us of funds and that actually they don't care about us small players as we are actually the pawns they are looking for.

In other words, pumping groups can be a trap if you are not very careful. Why? Because those leading the pumping have already bought their coins ahead of the pumping announcement and when the coin has already risen they would immediately sell their holdings and if you are not watching you can have your bags empty.

I was just a newbie on this and I got victimized because just seconds after I bought my coins the value rose which led me to believe it could rose further but then the slide happened as fast as it rose.

Instead of becoming a part of pumping groups, I am now instead of a group which analyzed trends and give away possible coins to rise...and all for free.

but im thinking that i might be pushing myself into a well of profit or a dead end
all i want is to not to end up regretting and hurting myself by losing my btc on joining this kind of group

Even users withing those groups are losers many times. Only the admins making the calls can be sure when to sell and are the only ones with guaranteed profit but everyone else is subject to unlimited losses as a further correction could follow after the group pumps the price of a currency in an exchange.

 Beware of such groups.They would have already bought huge volume of an altcoin which they want to pump and they just approach you and need you to buy those coins and pump it.Even if you buy it,you don't know that when they would start to dump it and so they would suddenly sell all their coins and then you would not be able to even recover your invested amount.

This would really amaze you when you are a newbie and you do see that the price do really start up to climb just as expected since that group  do said that it would definitely happen but this kind of cases would only happen if you did join on legit pump and dump groups but this is just a seldom thing to catch up with them but now most of them are just bunch of scammers.

Good decisions. Honestly bumping group people are doing against general morals. Manipulating market movements for their own benefits must be illegal as per many country's law. Even crypto currencies is a free market, we should not encourage this type of manipulations as it will cost many innocent investor's capital.

Regularly I do get offers from many bumping group to join with them, so far I have never responded to them as personally I am hating those people for their action of manipulating markets.
