I don't understand total supply vs available, what does that mean?

Switching does not change bitcoin, I thought bitcoin total = 21 million

And I know that all 12 million aren't for sale on exchanges, so Available can't mean "on exchanges for sale" so I don't know what to make of these new filters

If you hover over the supply column name, it should explain it.  It's the number of coins in existence that are available to the public.  Essentially it excludes any premined coins that haven't been released yet in the supply count.

Why it says at http://coinmarketcap.com/ that Novacoin is Significantly Premined? As I remember all premined Novacoin which was given to BTC-e was destroyed (sent to the incorrect address).

I'd really like the ability to filter specific coins rather than all pre-mined/unmineable together. For example, I might consider one such coin "legitimate" but not another, which I consider to be distorting the ranking. It would be nice if the browser could remember what a particular person wanted filtered when revisiting the site.

Mastercoin is not listed in the top 10 today on coinmarketcap.com

This is not because of the price level I don't think ( the price is listed as a question mark )

I assume the price is no longer being reported by whatever exchange was being used.

The price and volume look healthy at masterxchange.com

Because Solarcoin has much higher volume than the coins above the list, silly.  

The higher the market cap and volume the lower you get listed, so low is the new high.

Few people know this its kind of secret between traders.
