In a realistic sense the world can be a complete and total wasteland in 100 years if are current trends of posturing and waging war woth nuclear weapons woud continue. However if we can change then i see a world where we can make everything sustainable and better and efficient. A world of peace.

In 100 years technology will improve drastically. But it will be met with a few draw backs here and there, as nothing is perfect and inventors often make mistakes, are killed, or are funded by the wrong people. At times technology is even suppressed from public consumption such as Tesla's technology, free energy, anti gravity, etc.

So a good way to tell is; take everything you know today increase its capabilities exponentially by 100% and then decrease its capabilities again by 45% and then add technology to it that has never even been invented yet or could ever be imagined, and decrease that by 35% . And you should arrive to a fair assessment of what future technology will look like and function.

If strong countries like North Korea, China, Russia and USA keep making those nuclear weapons and war starts there will no world in 100 years. Arms are the worst invention ever made by humains.

There will be a world, it would be a radioactive one.

I think many revolutionary gadget, medicine and technology had been introduce to the world, a strong and lasting peace between the countries, many planet have been colonized, all of the countries now have space program and no more wars as the difference have been put aside.

It's hard to see the world 100 years after. Who knows what might happen. Earth could be completely destroyed by that time. People are wreckless and they invent something that could be destructive and harmful to human and Earth. I guess 100 years is a timeframe beyond the technological singularity which would make whatever happens later completely unpredictable. It doesn't matter what we predict now, 100 years in the future everything will be so different that we really cannot have a clue.

In my thoughts world can be a full of trash then too much resources will be gone, too much planet can be discovered.  I believe that a world cannot be a world in next next century then they have to do is to discover on how to create artificial oxygen.
