There is no a way to identify such people or it makes no sense. Either only one person knows the seed or two and we have no a way to distinguish the legit owner from a scammer.

I suppose you could simply email a private link to the claimants who sent their seed to David before July 10th. That would be orders of magnitude safer than directly putting the Recovery Tool out in the public.

Oh, I thought David forwarded you the claims that were emailed to him CfB. I could PM David on slack and ask him to send you a list of claimant addresses, but I'm not too confident this will work out, coming from an average dude...

From reading this thread, the following are in round#2 and emailed their seeds to David + provided their personal data :

However, there are 344 iota addresses in the round#2 list and there are probably more people in the same situation.

Anyway, if you will not contact round#2 claimants, the important thing for us is be informed precisely about the date & time for the Recovery Tool release, so that we can try to recover our funds as quickly as possible and avoid scammers. If we find out that our funds have just gone, there will not be any kind of recourse though, because anyone could have our seeds. There is about 147 Ti in round#2, so this could become pretty messy...

I wouldn't bet much on the privacy of email, and David's mailbox makes an attractive target that now holds treasure...

And no, I didn't share my seed with anyone else, nor did the other claimants I assume. It was requested from me by David via PM on Slack.

Agreed re David's email, I would like to believe he has a crazy strong email password, deleted everyone's emails from the server (via POP3 or manually deleted them if using IMAP) with IP blocking on invalid login attempts however we should pretend his inbox is handled like 99.99% out there which is not very secure.

Cfb, are you or David able to process the handful of accounts listed here before releasing the tool to everyone?  Seems easiest way to prevent any risk and also ensures the tool works as expected.

I missed the first claim due to the 32bit client not working and not having access to a 64bit computer at the time, not due to laziness.

Last I knew via CFB is that the processing of my manual claim is yet to come and awaiting instructions.
