PLEASE HELP - sorry, but I have hard time to follow this threat and find the reply to my own posts
with so many other posts coming in.
So, I cannot see if people replied to me to help with my requests about WALLET connexions
So, here again....
I am UNABLE to get a single connection for 24 hours to get my new wallet syncing.
DESPITE having put ALL addnoded available in OP
I got an info from someone (sorry cannot find the answer now),
about putting a new "peer.dat" file.
WHERE can I get this "peer.dat" file on an official DeepOnion page?
or any other help to finally get a connection to the network.

The conf files with tons of addnodes is NOT helping to get connections in my case apparently. So, as another person was telling about to get a NEW peer.dat file, this was what I was asking for.... or other suggestion to finally get connections Very strange. For me worked only with Deeponion.conf file. In what country you live? I am in Mexico... for other wallets, adding the conf file according to recommandations always gave immediate solution. Definitivelly, there is something in that case..... Hope someone will think about something to help ;-) |

Have you tried this tutorial? https://deeponion.org/community/threads/deeponion-tor-wallet-creating-conf-file.63/There is also one specifically for mac users. in fact, I saw this tutorial, but as I was using the conf file downloaded from the site, I did not created a new one.... I will try to remove what is told in the comment from the existing conf file, and see. |

I tried to crete a AUR for archLinux but found some problems: need to update tor codes source, add several lines of codes to support upnc 2.0, follow new api of QT5. Check GitHUB: https://gist.github.com/xhebox/182dfc894a527c8e2ea4d4020ccefaceProblems: https://github.com/deeponion/deeponion/issues/3its code quality is a bit low in my view at least in the management of external libs. whatever, it's just beginning, hope they could do better I need running wallet on my distro. I have no other OS available.... and no other machine. What should I check about firewall and antivirus Firewall settings? Write firewall after clicking the Start menu and select Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, open it, click inbound rules, new rule, program - next, find the wallet - next, allow this connection - next, check all 3 - next, some name for the rule, finish. Do the same for outbound rules Restart Open the wallet, wait 5 mins If you're using any other additional firewall you have to allow the wallet to access the network there |

How do you install this on Ubuntu Linux? I have a tiny pc that I want to have this running on to see if it will stake.
I downloaded the Linux files, but unlike Windows I can't just double click it and install them. I guess I have to use the command line, but how?
