i download the wallet , and create the conf file . but it still can rsync?
i don't konw how should i do ? just because i come from china ?
You can not connect to the TOR network from China! So unfortunately there is no way to use the standard wallet at the moment! You should try a VPN |

Reading this thread, I see a lot of fears of a price collapse after the end of airdrop. But try to look at the onion from the other side, not just as one of the altcoin. If onion is a means of exchange, carrying the function of settlements between counterparties? Perhaps in the future there will be exchanges with onions. In this case, no price crashes can not affect the long-term existence of onion. The anonymity of transactions, the large community, the further growth of popularity will lead to wide distribution, to the fact that there is no need to sell onion for. People will use it directly for calculations. I apologize for the bad English, but I hope the general meaning is clear.

Perhaps a Chinese user could find someone out of China to keep an address for them. I was going to say, and send it to them to the exchange after the air drops, but forgot about the 90% rule.
But yeah, a family member that can hold it for them.
Can they purchase a VPS in China?

I see some my friend China still use vpn for facebook or something... maybe illegal but I think they use vps to do all ilegal thing... China firewall really awesome

As I said in the deeponion forums, We have to let the wild crypto world act on its own, people own their onions and can sell whenever they want, if it is a mistake time will tell. What gives value to the project will be the community, software development and a little trust. i HODL !! |

I am so not worried about a price drop after the airdrop/signature campaign has ended.
Weak hands are gone weeks before the end of the drop. Certainly with the price being what it is now.
Keep going....one of the best projects around at the moment.

Maybe I misunderstand how this all works, but to my understanding Chinese users don't actually need to connect to the network to set up a cold wallet for storage, all they need to do is open the wallet and it generates a private key for a public address inside the wallet.dat file.... Once you have public address and private key for said public address you can receive coins, you just wont be able to send them anywhere. |
