Super excited about this project I love the no ico fact. I messed up on first air drop and did not have enough post but I had all info and pics posted as required. I got 0 for not posting enough. That is the only issue I have I think I should have at lease got some for having my profile 100% onions out at least for that maybe can we look into this I mean I understand I messed up on post that was my fault but I think people who don't make post count but have everything else should at least get something not nothing

You have to take note that even before the masses used revolutionary technologies the criminals were the ones used them first. Because they saw the advantage of using it. They need to get ahead of their competition.

Take car for example, the first cars were invented the masses were slow on adopting it. because the prominent mode of transportation at the time was horse. So they were all saying that cars were just fads, that they were not safe for travelling, that they were slow, that they were expensive, etc. But who were the ones used it first? The criminals, why because they saw the potential first. They saw that they can outran the ones chasing them and it's also a status symbol.

You have to understand the reason why people saying that cars were slow and not safe back then was because the roads that were built were not for cars but for horses. Those roads were ragged, muddy, full of horse-shit that's why they were dangerous for cars because they were not made for cars.

Now when the government started doing some infrastructures like roads that the use of cars started to get traction and everything became history. Now we are using cars in a daily basis.

As you see, modern innovations, criminals were the first ones to use them. Because they have the money, the connections, the reason to use it. Like planes, drones, high powered gun, surveillance system, bitcoin etc. They need to be innovative to survive and to get ahead of the competition and of the law and the government.

Now since they saw the potential on a technology doesn't mean that it's exclusively for them. Money is used by the criminals but does that mean that money is bad? No, it's neutral. Cryptocurrencies like DeepOnion is like that too. It can be used by criminals, yes. But that is because they saw a great use for them, to protect themselves. Just like what they did and still doing with bitcoin now. (though not that much because btc is not that anonymous now)

SO if this technology is being used by the less than 1% of the population (the criminals) just imagine what good can it do for the rest of us that will use this for good.

Just imagine funding networks like wikileaks to expose corrupt governments without the fear that you'll be tracked down. Just imagine giving to the whistleblowers so they will be protected. There are lot of uses for DeepOnion, you just have to widen your imagination, your mind and be open to the possibilities.

Most criminals use cash, not cryptocurrencies.

All of the problems you listed can be tackled in other ways without compromising privacy.

But to be honest, I'm not really worried about how people spend their onions. The more options the better, minus sex trafficing and child porn.  These subjects should be more heavily investigated without compormising everyone's right for privacy!

There are more things like weapons and some other very sick stuff! But sure more privacy is good! My only wory is that this coin is gonna be mainly used to do very evil stuff! Ofcourse most criminals in numbers use cash money! But maybe only 0.1% of all fiat is used for criminal stuff! While maybe 70% off deeponion is gonna be used for that thats my worry! And no i'm not talkng about not paying tax, how cares about that! But maybe our kids are gonna be again a little less safe!

One way or another, some wants privacy. It's like asking why are you using a Nickname in your profile when you have a Real name. Your concern is valid and some might take advantage because of anonymity but that doesn't mean, it's greatly used for bad stuff. A lot of people are clamoring for privacy these days.

DeepOnion is growing healthily. We see a big growing community which is very active and helpful. While we are very happy that many members help the comminity, we do notice that there are a portion of the members, almost never appear in this thread or any DeepOnion-related threads, they just post some very brief messages to make up the 10 in some other threads. Their intentions are just to collect free stuff and likely to dump to  make a quick profit.

Unfortunately our current rules don't exclude them. We want to get suggestions from the community: (1) do we exclude them after 1-2 more airdrops? Just to give them a chance to participate (2) do we exclude members whose posts are mostly getting free rewards from different threads? (3) We also want suggestions from you how to better develop the community.

I will be honest.. You blame the people who posts mainly in other threads... What's the problem with that? They are bringing you new people, who don't know the coin! On the other hand, the majority of people posting on the ann repeat the same stuff again and again and again and again. Yes, it helps keep the thread bumped but it also makes the community appear like a huge circle jerk.

Furthermore, for people with a job or real life this makes following the ann almost impossible. One of them is me, I find it really hard to follow announcements because everyday we have 20 new pages of the same stuff, or people posting stupid crap just to get their 10 posts. Only a handful of people here make meaningful contributions, like new graphics, memes etc.

If I understand correctly, the idea of dev is: With a week is enough time for you to join other topics and participate in the main theme of Onion. There are people who have enough posts in other masters but very few posts in this topic. Why?

I never had to bother counting my writings, because every week I participated in at least 5-6 other threads that I was watching and also contributing on this topic. Every week at least I have 20 ~ 30 valid posts.

Think, dev does not blame anything. He has worked hard enough to develop this community, and where are you guys? And now you lament here?

I think we are having a constructive discussion here, well IMO I believe that posting in other threads can help a lot of people
to be aware of deeponion, we have plenty of members in this forum and personally I did not know this project by this thread but by seeing
more members here are wearing the deep onion signature.

Also, IMO not all members in the campaign are really good technically but I am sure they are doing the best they can to promote this project in
any way.

What answer are you looking for? You already know the answer, they would use anything they can, whether it's Bitcoin, or Monero, or ect. I always see these type of questions on so many coins as if the devs have control over the way the coin it's used, as if the US government has any control over the way the dollar is used.

It's going to be use for privacy. I read a story the other day that the IRS hired this company that tracks and connects Bitcoin transactions and addresses to find out who has money. That's the main reason people want privacy coins, to protect themselves. The perverts represent a very tiny minority of the population.

the transaction probably hasnt left Nova's node yet. wait a few and check it again.. sometimes Novaexchange takes a while to process a tx, because their wallets are working so hard constantly

It should usually happen within few minutes if the novaexchange withdrawals are working flawlessly. They were down recently for a while though and am not sure if its fixed yet.
