To be honest, I am big fan of hardware wallet what with its security. When you are offline, no hacker can stole your coins.
Beside, I quitely love using hot wallet, it is convenient by combinating exchange and wallet.

All alt coin have their own wallet before asking what wallet is safe to use, we need to know first what coin are you want to store before we can give you suggestions what kind of wallet it is.

I use hardware wallets for my coins, it is safe and secure. For the coins not supported by hardware wallet, I will use the official wallet by the coin developer. But you have to secure your computer.

For me no wallet is more safer if you can't handle to secure your coins in the wallet.

By the way there are safe wallet and that is the wallet that can't hack and counterfeit by phishing site. Hardware wallet is another choice you can try it now to test.

It's really scary to see the way wallets are being compromised these days. I think Trezor is good and then offline storage is also cool. Cheesy

myetherwallet.com is the best usefull wallet. you can learn easly.  If you use etherdelta.com, myetherwallet is better choice for you. myetherwallet has many option for security I am using metamask and I think better than other ways.

The best wallet for altcoins are wallets which you have 100% control on. Exmaple, all ERC 20 tokens can imotoken, edioo etc. That way you safeguard your funds. Holding in exchanges haven't been a solution until proven otherwise, hold in external wallets.

Using third parties wallets is like killing your self with your own gun and using your own hand. These wallets are not safe, sometimes they wont give you Private keys and sometimes they steal your coins if you have big holdings.I just recommend using the qt wallet because it's the safest wallet, each coin has its own wallet qt and encrypt your wallet with a passphrase.

Every altcoin in it not the token have own blockchain and wallet.
Most of them dont have alternative wallets.
Best wallet ever is the wallet where you can access to your private keys

What is the best and trusted wallet for lots of altcoins?
The most important thing in choosing altcoin wallet is not because the user interface is very nice and interesting but interesting to me is have a good security to secure your wallet by hacker attack for example Myetherwallet and Imtoken

Most altcoins have their own developers building wallet into their system, however if it comes to Ethereum based tokes, I used my Etherwallet to hold them .

I still really like using the myetherwallet I think it is very safe. Used store all Altcoin in a very long term is very safe and as long as we keep the private key password or code. And there are still some wallets are secure as coinomi according to me is also secure because an awful lot of people wear.

What is the best and trusted wallet for lots of altcoins?

There are lots of wallets for a lot of different altcoins, just find comfortable wallets for what altcoins you have earned or going to invest in. And there are also wallets that are created by the team of different ICO’s if they want their transaction to be safe, but most of ICO’s are Ethereum based so it uses the ethereum wallet.
What wallet do you mean? I dont see many wallet support several altcoin. I mean the wallet that we store the private key.
I mostly store my altcoin in exchange because its not big amount and i just trade in that exchange just because its good exchange
