We're looking to launch the alpha in the next couple of weeks and we'll be gathering interest for testers initially. The alpha will no deadline, it will continue to evolve into the actual product. We'll be looking to start the main ICO roughly a week or two after the Alpha.

This is a good project but its not going to be good for every one including the bounty hunters if the minimum funds aren't going to be achieved. The success of the project depend to the impression of the Pre-ICO.

I understand that the presale ICO gives a first impression about the success of the project, however we did launch the presale ICO literally in 2-3 days after the very first mention of the project, given those circumstances I think we've done well.

We hope that with the launch of our Alpha that more investors will be interested as you'll have a 'tangible' product rather than just a whitepaper and some screenshots.

Quick question: why build it on the ETH blockchain?

It allows us to utilize smart contracts to execute transactions for the app itself, moreover we can extend on this and build smart contracts to facility in-app transfer between users in the future (i.e. sharing your portfolio, etc). The source would be verified and published, so anyone knows exactly what will happen when they send something.

A simple example would be crediting your account, a smart-contract could automatically credit your account when you transfer TKR tokens to it.

Development of the Alpha version has been underway since a few weeks now and is shaping up quite well.

Not bad idea. I'm using Blockfolio at the moment, and app is great.

You can really easily track all your altcoins, both in BTC value and $ value. Although, it's not good when everything is dropping and you lose 0.2BTC per swing

Please do quote the text where you read this? This is not the case at all. There is no mention that we require 50 ETH to get started. 50 ETH was just an arbitrary hard cap on the pre-ICO.

We don't need a minimum amount to get started because we have invested our own money to set up the Amazon AWS infrastructure, developer licenses, etc, that is money we will be looking to recoup once the main ICO funding has completed. As for the pre-ICO funds, these are exclusively to be used on promotion and marketing (as mentioned in point 2 above) and in light with full transparency, we will be releasing a full breakdown of expenditure including invoices to show how and were that ~21 ETH was used.

Below is where you mentioned this 50 ETH being small that which you meant is your minimum for your pre-ICO. Did I just read this correctly?
I read all the posts in this thread because I thought of joining the campaign but find it sketchy.

cut the bullshit. whether you are launching pre-ico or your main ICO, your are getting money. for all we know we can't even hear another thing form you jsut after having 5K USD. we'd like to see whether you have plans to have escrows. because as of now, your project is a potential scam apart that its not even unique. there are several projects like this already.

You are entitled to your own opinion but you keep asking the same question.

I have already explained that escrow options are being explored for the main ICO and full details on the logistics of the main ICO will be announced before the ICO is actually launched.

In simpler words: Everything will be finalised before the main ICO starts. And until then we haven't actually raised any money anyway so there is no possibility of a "scam".

If you are referring to the pre-ICO, we felt it wasn't necessary to involve an escrow as the pre-ICO target is so low (50 ETH, for reasons explained elsewhere in this thread), and all that money is going straight into the promotion/marketing of the project. If it makes you happy I will make sure we release the breakdown of advertisement costs/invoices and make them public so you can see how the money raised in the pre-ICO was spent.

We feel this project has enough unique features that makes it noticeably distinct from competitor projects, something that can be experienced first hand when the Alpha version is released (aiming to be in 2/3 weeks).

Why do you need a token for this project?
The token will be basis to provide services on the application. We're still finalizing the details on exactly what features will fall under the subscription model, and will share more information in due time.
 
We will also be launching an online portal for any TKR token holders, they will be able to directly influence key decisions and vote on future additions/ideas for Trackr.

This to me is the only information that matters. You are asking for funding, but not giving information on how I will make a return on my investment. The app seems comprehensive, looks like it would be a good tool to use. What am I buying by investing in your ICO? Can you give an example of a chance to influence key decisions? Voting shares?

Will the tokens be bought back? What will the tokens be backed by? How?
