In my opinion ICO is an easy and best way to invest money from various projects, but there’s always a chance to have lose profits if you didn’t review carefully the project that you have chosen. Because ICOs is a long term investment that need lots of time to study and focus with. So the key for ICO is you have the full time and lots of experience in this business, and know what your goals are.

Actually recent event told us otherwise, as if you paid attention, many ICOs went on the market with cheaper prices than on crowdsale, one comes to mind id WIZ token (ICO price 1 dollar, market around 50 cents)

You don't need to spend thousands of dollars on each ICO, so if you find a few you are interested in, you get the chance to diversify. Its the worst way really. Currently ICOs are nothing but scams and air. No matter how good the project looks or how great the dev team looks, unless they have a proof of code or a working product to show, don't trust them with your money.

There are a lot of scam ICOs out dere, most of them will look good on whitepaper but they don't have anything meaningful yo offer. Nevertheless there are also good ones too.
Personally I only invest in projects that have a working prototype.
