Lets face it, the altcoin section of bitcointalk is a mess. It's a jumble of posts about 14 different coins, not to mention all of the new coin announcements. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started a forum dedicated to altcoins, each with their own board. Theres also no restrictions on new members. I'd be super grateful if someone wanted to come and post some stuff! It's over at altcoinforum.com\

List of coins on the board:

  • Yacoin
  • Powercoin
  • Royalcoin
  • Netcoin
  • Frankocoin
  • Onecoin
  • Opticoin
  • Litecoin
  • Mincoin
  • Devcoin
  • PPCoin
  • Namecoin
  • Feathercoin
  • BBQCoin
  • Terracoin
  • Devcoin
  • Freicoin
  • Novacoin
  • Chinacoin
  • IxCoin
  • Bytecoin
  • Bitbar
  • Curecoin
  • Indiancoin
  • Onecoin

actually that could work, just organise it better - if you put each release in it's own forum , you will just end up filling down the page as they get relased daily .

suggestion ....

something like this :

{Board} - "Alternate Cyptocurrency"- New Ideas - Development  <----- ( try to clone the forum that is popular here, but without the spam)

{Board} - Launches - New Crypt

{Board} - Existing Coins   < ------- (basically move what you have there presently to this board and fill it up as they exist and delete them as they die)

{Board} - Off X Transactons

.

It's missing Yacoin, Frankocoin, Curecoin, Indiancoin, Onecoin, Opticoin, Royalcoin, and some more perhaps.

But Yacoin is the more important tho since it's the only CPU friendly coin out there atm.

Your verification code is annoying. Only about 1 in 3 are legible. A lot of blue letters with blue bars that cover entire letters.

@Tradefortress the name is completely coincidental, but .org only has 5 altcoins, whereas my site has over 20. I try to include all of the new currencies, and not exclude any.

YAC shouldn't be on the same category, it deserves its own board like bitcoin.

I commend the initiative.

There's too much altcoin noise here. After all it's bitcointalk.org Smiley

@aes1 Thanks! I started it because I was tired of all the noise in this board, it was chaos. New coin announcments, mining questions, giveaways, all of that. It was too much.
