I think it is every 2016 blocks so block 20160 would be the next retask. That's what? 500 or so blocks away?

2016 blocks to retarget difficulty I'm guessing the next retarget will be at 20160 I don't think there is a time sensitive retarget (a long way off at current solve rate, expect current difficulty for quite sometime unless hash picks up) I don't mind the difficulty at 1, it's low enough that if persistent you will solve blocks but high enough that you don't have it getting flooded. I don't think alot of peers have the litecoin blockchain. If they did then it would take over the original chain. Rather a single wallet or two which is why people see out of sync as the network sees the odd blockchain but doesn't download it due to it not being nearly strong enough. I'll be sticking to the network and not a node. I will be monitoring/administrating my wallet/blockchain. And of course, thank you for allowing others a safe way to download and use the GME blockchain. http://slots.won777.com/

So we've forked the gamecoin source, I'm going to fix up a few of the glaringly obvious errors before re-release, including a proper DNS seed for initial peers rather than just adding individual nodes. Anyone running a full, valid gamecoin node that wants to be added to the DNS seed? PM me and let me know Also when the source is ready for compile, anyone able to easily compile Windows/OSX Clients? Let's see if we can't get this coin back in the air. UPDATE: Aaaand 5 minutes of looking at this source I've found the likely source of the blockchain problem. Looks like litecoin DNS seeds, no wonder this thing is getting confused and connecting to the wrong networks. Let's get on making a new seed people!

jayo89, have you added the checkpoints I posted about here to your fork? The last block found (19430) had the following hash: 89bf25f3e929f5f2588cccaf1ba7c88a7a377588d142cf5069cbe12c0fd052d8 Maybe also add that. As to compiling a binary, the best I can do is the Windows Daemon. Maybe we could put up a bounty for whoever compiles a Windows QT wallet for your new fork. I'd throw 10,0000 GME into the pot to get this back on track.

Just added, sending them over to my guy to push to our fork, then I'll link you to the github and you can compile a windows Daemon, and we'll see about finding someone to throw together the QTs. I think you guys will like the new icons

The main repository is not yet updated with the checkpoints - GameCoin has to be updated to expect a future.

We're updating our fork in just a few minutes. Daemons and clients compiled from that shouldn't suffer due to the new checkpoints. They also have snazzy new icons.

I think GameCoin has been abandoned by it's original developer. If it means people will not lose the coins they mined on the real chain I'm sure they'll update their client with jay's fork and we can get it back on track. I've got my mining computer back up and running and am throwing some hashes at it.

I love that everyone's sort of picked up this abandoned coin to nurse it back to health.

NEW Unofficial Github Fork - https://github.com/alt-coin/gamecoinApplying aesthetic fixes and security fixes suggested and delivered by you you guys to get this coin back on track. If you're getting "wallet out of sync" errors, this should solve it and ensure we're all on the correct blockchain. Keep an eye on this post for download links to binaries as they become available. (That being said, anyone who can compile these binaries, especially QT for Win/OSX, have at it maybe?)

The pool is back to life, using the last checkpoints. So it will follow the right block chain. With the current difficulty, it will be useful. Here are the parameters: cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8112 -u yourGMEaddress -p . statistics available here: http://next.afraid.org:81122% fee.

With the current difficulty = 1, and a hashrate around 1.5Mh/s, this currency will stall...

Have faith, your pool has already found 3 blocks, I've now switched from solo mining to your pool.

You can't at the moment as it uses a new irc channel to prevent clashes with litecoin peers. I've asked tyrion70 who compiled the Windows QT Wallet for Doubloons if he wouldn't mind also compiling a new QT Wallet for this based upon jayo89's new fork and offered up a 10,000 GME bounty for doing so. Stay tuned. PS: If anyone wants to sweeten the deal for tyrion70 please pledge your support here.

SO I should continue to use my old wallet or use the new one? I am testing out to see if the old one still take payments

So are we shifting to this fork en masse? Coz if we do there has to be a proper announcement. At least a separate topic to inform everyone.
Anyways I leave my wallet free to connect and it shows 7 connections, fully synced and 19435 blocks.

If you have transactions under the proper blockchain then keep your %Appdata%\gamecoin\wallet.dat
