I think I would generally agree with the view that a lot of the dumping is happening on an ongoing basis, so its not like the dumping will get a lot worse right at block 30,000 (when the reward halves).

Think of it this way: if I'm a miner who wants to dump, and it seems so "obvious" that the price will crash due to dumps right at block 30,000, then why would I wait until that block?  I would dump at 29,999.  But then, the next miner will think the price will crash at block 29,999, and dump at 29,998.  And so on, until the smart thing to do is just dump now.

Not every miner will follow this logic, which means there will still be some dumping at block 30,000.  But I don't think it will be as bad as people think.  And it should recover in the week or two that follows.  That may scare those of you looking to make a quick buck and get out, but that's okay, you'll make some short-term gains this week and we holders will make some long-term gains in the coming months/years.  There's room for everyone to get what they want.

In other news I'm trying to figure out if skunksp-mod5_fixed was tainted or not.

I have scanned skunksp-mod5_fixed.7z with kaspersky & windows defender (Windows 7) & neither has found anything, further system scans and rootkit scans found nothing on this system.

ccminer.exe - SHA256: c924fcb42c24fc6e0c8062055ad7a493fe9d0b9469c8efe8eebb642e95554ec3
ccminer64.exe - SHA256: 28443864b346eb6ab96a2e9c0155dddea818a3218988e4e6276de7c74d381a9a

However it's possible there is something here, if there is it could be mining some part to another pool in secret.

But I haven't really seen evidence of this so far.

I'll probably just compile ccminer-skunk-krnlx myself later: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2070862.0

If anyone wants to analyze this further, possibly with network tools and such, would be interesting to know, not sure if I will.
Man ... I think you're all are beeing paranoid there is nothing wrong with this "pirated" miner imo
Getting less shares can happen, its not constant it has never been
Difficulty spikes and insane nethash are the mains reasons everyone getting less coins now
Whattomine can't handle these spikes, dont use this calculator its not trustable atm

Agree 100%, paranoia is thick.   I've been using the shared spmod3 with zero issues and have netted pretty dang close to the number of coins to be expected.  Even if the miner is "tainted" and sending off 1-2% to a secret address, in the end it's better than forking over 0.05 or 0.1 BTC to buy the miner  Wink

Good practice to be paranoid in cryptocurrency, anyways I can't really find evidence of it doing anything so far.

Either way I've switched to Epsylon3's build of ccminer-skunk-krnlx-80, I was going to compile it myself but too lazy to setup the environment on this machine: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2070862.msg20703817#msg20703817

I seem to be getting near identical 17 MH/s on ccminer-skunk-krnlx-80 (64-bit) versus 17.10 MH/s on skunksp-mod5_fixed (32-bit)

However I wonder if CUDA 7 32bit would perform a little better, versus CUDA 8 64bit for a GTX 1060 6GB.

Using the following bat parameter: ccminer-x64-80 -i 18 -d 0 -a skunk -o stratum+tcp://sigt.suprnova.cc:7106 -u user.worker -p password --cpu-priority=3

Hello eveyone;

I am newbie and having not knowledge to analize this Signatum coin, beside that I am purely investor.
This is the second time I have posted here after knowing that how to deposit BTC wallet at Crytopia exchange
Can you give me some advices if I invest $10,000 into SIGT in order to holding for a long time. It will be a proximately 60.000 SIGT

Thank you in advance.

Don't invest money you cannot afford to lose.

I would personally never invest that much into a single alt-coin, but maybe you are rich or something and 10K is not much money? Then by all means.

I don't think any alt-coin is all that great for long term investment. I think stick to bitcoin, because if bitcoin fails petty much every alt-coin will fail as well (at least in short-term).

While I believe that signatum has a good potential to rise to 0.50-1.00+, of course nobody knows for sure. If enough big whales decide to cash out they can destroy the coin in a matter of hours and may take months if not years to show recovery if ever. It's probably not going to happen as it's not premined, but you never really know what others are thinking.
thank you very much for your kindness advices............I come from Vietnam and I would highly appreciated your consultant

If you are a newbie start with a few hundred dollars maybe a thousand at the very most (if you can afford to lose it), if it goes x2-x3 within a year I'd say that's a good investment, if it goes much further than that's awesome, but never expect too much either as you will be disappointed.

Also don't forget the nature of cryptocurrency is extremely volatile, long term investment is better to do in real world with diversification & tax free accounts if possible, you don't get super rich but you typically won't lose out in the long term either.

Anyways good luck, if certain conditions are met in the next while than I do believe signatum will see success, but there is no guarantee.

thank you very much for your kindness advices............I come from Vietnam and I would highly appreciated your consultant

Try to use this tool for calculating your profit, it more correct than whattomine tools. Don't be too panic on virus/scam ... you will lose more.

* Shameless plug again * - this time justified.

Old version of Prospector was approximately as fast as Sgminer when mining Signatum. New version should be 4-8% faster.

Bitcointalk post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2033185

Miner page:
https://github.com/semtexzv/Prospector/blob/master/README.md

Download:
https://github.com/semtexzv/Prospector/releases

It can do 18.2 on my GTX 1070, and I have user report of 19.8 on RX 480, making it much faster than Sgminer.

It is said that Signatum will have Pure PoS after block 100,000 and PoS 5% Annual Interest

Just curious, how much SIGT do we need to stake?

in my opinion, price 5k is on the top, next days people will sell and sell, price will decrease, maybe down to 2k. I think "SIGT will be listed on Bittrex" still is a rumor and make many people had bought it. SIGT also is a favorite coin I trade with total 50k SIGT had bought/sold, I will buy it back when it dump again or when it live on Bittrex. xD
