I think if it rises to around 3000 sats, one of the big players may rush to list it, only one reason they are following, and that is to monitor price and trade volume.

We've been at 4500 before price has nothing to do with it.

Hi guys, I'm back to mining after a break of 2 years. I haven't my complete rig right now, but have received 2 GTX 1070 already. I have then put a 1070 in my actual desktop computer in order to find the best compromise between hashrate and power consumption, and here is the details of what I have achieved : Specs :- Windows 10 x64 - Inno3D GTX 1070 3X Edition 8 Go - CCminer-krlnx by tpruvot@github - Drivers 384.94 WHQL (the last ones available) Actually minning with : 26.1 Mh/s @ 80W = 334.08 hashes per watt=> Core clock : 1800 Mhz (+125 Mhz) => Memory clock : 3700 Mhz (-400 Mhz) - it seems Skein algo doesn't care of Memory clock => Power scaling at 50%. => GPU Temp at 52°C, in a 27°C room Higher hashrate possible if not taking into account the power usage : 31.5 Mh/s @ 152W = 212.21 hashes per watt, GPU temp at 70°C Question : do you think that these are proper results? or maybe can I tweak it a little bit more? Any advice? Thanks for reading. Best use latest drivers 385.28, more stable. Allright, I'll give them a try. Thank you.

We've been at 4500 before price has nothing to do with it. No you are correct to some degree, there are several factors that play role, one being time on the market, and another is projected longevity of the coin, so far the coin has shown great resilience, I think another delivered goal deadline by the devs and price will be a major factor to at least one of the big exchanges stepping forward. Exchanges need to make money, price has almost everything to do with it, however, they wont list a coin because it went to 4500 sats once but lingered around 1200 for the next year or so, the coin needs to be flexible and resilient to market trends and threats.

Pattern is same for all coins... they show up, increase in price to dump is next, and then all the dreamers mine it just to hope get get rich. But it never happens.

what is a sat?
it's coin owners satisfaction The more satisfaction a coin has, the more dollars will your bank pay for it when you want to sell your Signatum to them. 4500 satisfaction is a lot of satisfaction

What settings do you use for 1060 ? GPU, MEM, PL ?
For some reason there is almost nothing you can do to make this hash faster on a 1060 or 1070 (the two GPU classes I use). The ONLY thing that makes a small dent is power. Base and memory clock, for me, do next to nothing as far as I can tell. I am used to seeing 20-25% gains when overclocking Claymore for ETH. I don't think I see even 2% difference when changing clock speeds for skunkhash... if that much.

Memory - you can get it as low as you can, that with TDP lowered will give you more "space" for core clock. My settings for 1060: core + 100, mem -500, tdp 70%. That gives 110 MH/s on 6 card rig with 550W from the wall per rig.

Those who were all excited about making it to the front page of whattomine yesterday...
That just cost you about 20% in daily mining proceeds.
Suprnova miners are up about 20% since yesterday AFTERNOON. CWI workers went from just under 400 to 524. That's up 30%.
Rewards estimates are down roughly as much as miners are up.
Those who were all excited yesterday apparently did not realize the ramifications.
