A Step Away from RIALTO.AI Platform

RIALTO.AI PLATFORM
The RIALTO.AI Platform is almost ready to be presented to the public. Once live, it will enable the registered users the access to the automated trading algorithms. In this respect, it will also serve as a backbone for all the future products developed by RIALTO.AI among which we would like to stress the single access point for buying or selling of cryptocurrencies from multiple exchanges.


To access the platform, users will have to register on the platform by submitting personal identification. When we conclude the verification of users, full platform access will be enabled. Users will then be able to deposit their XRL tokens and adjust the percentage of the deposited assets they want to use for trading to their personal preference.


At the initial stage of the platform, only arbitrage/market-making bot will be available but will soon be followed by additional products in Q2 2018.

Selected algorithm combination will trade during a 14-days trading period after which users will have an option to withdraw the generated profit or to keep it on the platform. The withdrawal will be executed exclusively upon the user’s request and only after the current period, in which the withdrawal is requested, finishes. RIALTO.AI does not plan to charge any platform fees in the foreseeable future or at least not until the single access point feature is introduced in Q4 2018. However, the transaction fees (e.g. exchange conversion rates, transaction gas etc.) for withdrawals will automatically be deducted from the total amount of requested funds.


REGISTRATION
RIALTO.AI aims to expand its area of operations globally and in order to do so, we have to demonstrate robust compliance processes, by which we want to ensure that each international territory has sufficient management oversight and that AML requirements are being adhered to. Yet, the current list of countries outside our area of operations remains unchanged since the RIALTO.AI Platform Introduction.

Personal data gathered through the registration will be used solely for internal KYC and AML processes. However, RIALTO.AI will handle the data with the highest level of discretion and will not disclose any of information to third parties by fully complying with the latest EU General Data Protection Regulation.


The data verification will be performed by Contego Fraud Solutions Limited, a UK based company, that designs and develops identity verification software. With access to over 3 billion records of individuals, stretching across more than 100 markets, Contego has the ability to automate seamlessly International Checks.



PLATFORM SECURITY
The platform is comprised of multiple levels of security. For instance, addresses for deposited XRL tokens are protected with a multi-sig wallet and physical access restrictions. Next, profit and asset withdrawals will only be possible from verified addresses that were specified during the registration. Furthermore, any attempt to change addresses or other account information will result in an additional KYC process requested from our support team.


PLATFORM LAUNCH - TIMELINE
We plan for RIALTO.AI platform to welcome its first users by commencing the registration in the second week of March. This opening registration phase will provide a time frame during which RIALTO.AI will be able to review received applications and verify accounts. With this pre-registration process, we aim to allow users to access the platform at the same time, once it goes LIVE.  When the verification processes are concluded, we will enable full access and subsequently announce the start of the first official trading period on the platform.

RIALTO.AI is introducing design and functionality of the RIALTO.AI Platform. XRL token holders will have an easy access to the algorithms and management of their assets. It will enable XRL token holders to decide which algorithms to use. Initially, only the arbitrage and market making algorithms will be available followed by AI trade bot in Q1 2018.

Platform users will be able to manage their generated profit freely, furthermore, they will also be able to withdraw a portion or a total of their assets upon returning XRL tokens. Returned XRL tokens will be temporarily locked and withdrawal request will be available. Additionally, platform will offer an insight into the trading statistics and recent updates.

We are proud to announce that as of today, March 12, 2018, RIALTO.AI Platform is welcoming its first users. XRL token holders can now register their accounts by following the instructions published in the RIALTO.AI Platform Introduction. Once we verify the majority of applications, we will enable the full functionality platform access to the users whose accounts were approved. The date of the full platform functionality access will be communicated subsequently through all our media channels.

Storing the profit in crypto assets may have certain advantages, such as:

• Lower costs. No additional fees would be charged for converting crypto assets to USD and then back again to ETH.
• Safer storage. There would less third-party dependency (exchanges) as ETH can be more easily saved in cold wallets.
• Faster profit payout. Payouts would be executed directly and would not have to go through additional transaction before distribution to users.

Storing the profit in USD, on the other hand, would protect the assets from changes in value due to crypto market volatility.

We finished the first quarter of 2018 with a launch of RIALTO.AI platform which marked an important milestone in our development. The platform will represent a fundamental access point for all future products to be offered by RIALTO.AI. Since the opening of the registration on March 12, 2018, over 1,000 users have registered on the platform and this number increases steadily on a daily basis.

During Q1 2018, we have witnessed extreme volatility on crypto markets. Total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies reached its peak at the beginning of January but during the remainder of the quarter, the prices of cryptocurrencies were declining. RIALTO.AI Trade Bot Infrastructure

At RIALTO.AI, we are developing a trade bot for automated prediction trading. Prediction trading is all about determining the right time to either buy or sell a cryptocurrency. We have implemented and backtested several strategies so far, and we continue working on the development of the new ones. Our backtesting process is extremely rigorous, and only the most profitable strategies make it into the production environment.

THE INFRASTRUCTURE
The trade bot infrastructure consists of four parts: real-time stream processing engine, historical data service, backtesting environment, and the trade bot.

The real-time stream processing engine is responsible for running the trading strategies. The input for strategies is real-time data obtained from the exchanges and the historical data from our databases. Strategies analyze these inputs and generate signals which are interpreted by the trade bot.

The historical data service is storing trade-related data to the databases. This data is then used for backtesting where it is used to evaluate the profitability of the strategies, and in the real-time stream processing engine where it is fed to strategies which require historical data in addition to the real-time data.

The backtesting environment was developed from scratch since we could not find a solution that would meet our needs. Usually, such environments support only “single-strategy” testing, while our goal was to improve this and have the option to perform testing in a “multi-strategy” backtesting environment. We started with the assumption that by interleaving the strategies we could achieve greater profitability and thanks to our multi-strategy backtesting environment we were able to confirm this.

The last part of our infrastructure is the trade bot which performs the trades on the exchanges according to the signals it receives from the strategies.

THE DEVELOPMENT
The process of designing and developing such a complex and advanced infrastructure has been lengthy and time-consuming. However, we have achieved huge improvements in the reliability (in terms of uptime) and scalability (new strategies can be tested and implemented with little effort). Additionally, tradebots are built in a modular way so that they can integrate with the RIALTO.AI platform that enables users to replicate all trades for their own account with a single click. In contrast to many other social trading websites, we are focusing on quality over quantity thus we will deploy only best performing algorithms. We are making a significant step forward with the multi-strategy trading by deploying a “long/short” strategy, which performs well in both, bullish and bearish markets.

The Era of GDPR

As of May 25, the European Union has begun enforcing The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), perhaps most stringent regulation to date on how EU citizens’ personal data is collected, processed and stored. The extensive data protection regulation does not only affect European businesses but all organizations handling the personal data of EU citizens. And how does the implementation of GDPR look in practice at RIALTO.AI and what does it mean for our platform and website users? Before answering this question, we shall lead you through some main points.

What is GDPR?
GDPR is a legal framework that obliges companies and businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of their clients and users that reside in European Union. It covers all companies that collect, store, and process the data of EU citizens, especially banks, insurance companies, and other financial companies for transactions that occur within EU member state.

What is the background of GDPR?
In April 2016, the European Parliament adopted the GDPR, replacing the outdated Data Protection Directive enacted in 1995. It is important to note that the GDPR is a regulation, in contrast to the previous legislation, which is a directive. A regulation is a binding legislative act and it must be entirely applied across the EU, while a directive is a legislative act that sets out a goal that all EU countries must achieve, and it is up to the individual countries to decide how. EU member countries had two years to adopt the Regulation which entered into force last Friday, on May 25. The issue with the 1995 Directive is that it became obsolete and therefore no longer relevant to today’s digital age. In other words, its provisions fail to address how data is stored, collected, and transferred today, meaning that it hasn’t been able to keep up with the pace of the levels of modern technological advancement.

What is personal data?
Article 4(1) of GDPR defines Personal Data as follows:

Personal Data’ means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

It’s important to understand that under the GDPR you have the right to the protection of your personal data, and you have the access to data which has been collected about you, furthermore, you have the right to have this data corrected.

Two protective rights under the GDPR
First, the right of erasure, or the right to be forgotten. If you don’t want your data out there, then you have the right to request for its removal or erasure. Second, the right of portability empowers you to claim your data provided to us which you can then transmit to another service provider without hindrance from the controller to which the personal data have been provided.

RIALTO.AI and GDPR
The steps that we have taken towards the compliance with the GDPR are:

We appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) whose role will be:

• Informing and advising our team members who carry out the tasks related to the collection, storage, and processing of the data.
• Monitoring compliance with the GDPR.
• Cooperation with the supervisory authority.

Also, we updated our Privacy Policy (https://platform.rialto.ai/#/privacyPolicy) where we in a transparent and structured way explain what we use your data for, the reasons why we use it, and how long we store it. Furthermore, we explain the new rights you will be able to exercise and how to exercise those rights. For example, now you can:

• request the access to your personal data;
• request the correction of the Personal Information that we hold about you, request erasure of your Personal Information, object to the processing of your Personal Information;
• request the restriction of processing of your Personal Information;
• request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party, and withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data.

And what do you have to do now?
