%75 of hard cap achieved now, it seems that ICO will end today, just want to know what was the price for pre sale investors. however, most of tokens have been bought by venture capitals, so they will not dump them fast.

It used to be the opposite but because ICO's are more becoming more popular and better at advertising you are right that this is not the case anymore. If the token only lists on a low volume exchange such as Etherdelta/Waves/etc.. then yes they can often be picked up for cheaper post ICO.

In order to provide some value for ICO investors it is important to set a reasonable hard cap which Stox has done and secondly it is important to swiftly get on a large exchange. Anything smaller than Bittrex could easily result in a $30 million ICO trading cheaper.

The product is good though. I'm in REP too but event resolution times will significantly impact their ability to compete in the sport betting market. The Stox approach provides rapid resolution but with the backstop of a decentralized dispute mechanism. Their regulatory approach is also good and means STX prediction markets will probably be available in most/all jurisdictions.

Floyd wasn't the best to hype a coin, 99% of the comments was fans talking about his fight with McGregor and a few asking what the hell a cryptocoin is. Don't get it twisted, he was either paid or offered free STX to do that, not off his own back. He has more than enough money and sponsorship to not have to invest in a crypto. Not sure why you wouldn't put that money into the project instead of that or put the STX offered to him into an airdrop, better way to build interest then Floyd.

There's also endorsement for equity deals. 50 Cent for example made $200 million off his Vitamin Water equity, more than he'd made from everything else combined at that point.

So while his supporters probably aren't proficient enough to invest in the ICO, it still created a lot of awareness and they could certainly be users of Stox once it's released. There's actually a lot of synergy in having one of the greatest sports stars of all time investing in and supporting what could become the greatest sports betting platform of all time. I don't know if there was a deal or just a once off but if he was offered STX he could easily make a $hit ton from it and you probably will too as a result.

The problem was that if someone saw the tweet and was inspired to buy Stox because of it and they knew NOTHING about cryptos, it would have been VERY difficult to setup accounts, get approved, and learn how to participate in the ICO in that time frame. Setting up new accounts at exchanges (particularly if you want to do larger amounts) takes time. Then you have to wire the funds unless you use CC. Then  you have to get the ETH and learn how to use MEW. That's quite an obstacle for a noob in a short period of time.

yup read up on crypto's. Buying into an ICO isn't as easy as accessing an exchange and buying a coin. Most will give up and wonder what the hell all those instructions mean. hopefully they have him or others for when it actually goes live on exchanges as that's when it will be more beneficial.

I personally seen it from Mayweathers Instagram so it made me look into it. Glad I did but I hope more is planned to increase the price during golive, not for ICO that helps them...not us.
