If you are a holder then just research and invest some good amount in a good coin and then re-open after 1 year ;p and keep doing your job. So yeah for a jobber don't waste much time on viewing market cap.

The answer is linked to your preferences actually. If you aim to be a good trader, you have to spend a lot time on trading to improve and develop your trading skills and you will practice yourself.

I think it takes too long to wait for up to 1 year. 3-5 months is enough to see our coin predictions will rise or not. yes indeed we should always check the market because it is our benchmark in assuming the price of coin that we get from trading

Well, trading really needs time like 4-6 hours but if you are talking as you are almost a day trading then that's really bad. Try to divide those hours for searching coins, short term trade and etc and put a time limit for each.

i'm one who spend too much time for trading. I made so many stupid mistakes because of thinking emotionally instead of logically. what is your opinion? Being emotional is a big factor why many traders end up failing and regretting. If you want to be a good trader you must have patience and have a goal on your coins, do not consume too much time watching the fluctuation of prices of every crypto because it may lead you to have volatile mindset and forget your goal because you are watching the fluctuation of crypto too much. Just have patience when it comes to trading and don`t let your emotions dictate you what to do.

Maybe, it is not advisable to spend your money to trading as well as your time because if you will have to spend almost all of your time doing it then you can be crazy and have a sleepless night which is not good in our health, just focus on the coins that will give you much trading just like bitcoin.

Depends on how educated you are. I would say, if you are really interested in trading, first of all, find and get to know a coin that you are going to invest in. Find and read as much as possible regarding it, and then invest if you find it to be a potential one. Then, start studying the chart of the coin, when does it fall, why does it fall, why does it go up. While you have invested in the coin, learn as much as possible on trading cryptocurrencies and also be up to date with that coin.
Now that you have experience in that area, you can invest in a couple of coins, and start trading them monthly/weekly/daily depending on how you feel
It is a personal preference on how much time will you devote on trading. Some do it daily and rake profits, some invest and hodl, and they also profit.
Whole point is to have experience, and of course, strategy. Know your exit strategy, when are you going to pull out, and when to push in more fiat.
Last but not least, do not put money that you are not prepared to lose (ex. money for your rent) and do not include too much emotions. You will end up panic selling and losing more than you have invested in the first place.
There's no such thing as too much time trading, as long as you have a goal in mind, and play strategically.

yes it is true, it is good we have time by doing more than one job as long as we can manage time well, we can take advantage apart from trading, for example we can follow bounty and signatur.
I think, either it is true or not you cannot avoid to spend too much time in trading sometimes especially when your in a good mood and eagerly wanting to get what you want in your trading. Though it is not advisable to pay too much time, it's all depend upon to you on how you manage your time.

it depends on what you mean by "spend time". wasting time for example is not proper way of spending it. and that's what most people do.
but if you spend time constructively by studying the market, analyzing the charts, learning how to trade, reading articles, watching the movement on charts and thinking about reasons for each change .... that would be a good thing.
some people even start "demo trading". if the platform allows that (crypto trading platforms rarely have this feature) then even better, but if not on paper or in an excel sheet. placing imaginary buys and then watching if they get filled, then placing imaginary sells and finally seeing if you could make profit.
all trading needs is experience. to know how things work and then acting fast.
I love your idea of imaginary trading a demo using crypto market. Some platforms have this feature now, so there is no need to imagine it. The Profiforex Mobius software for example has crypto trading in the real sense. I am not talking about CFDs, there you can buy cryptocurrencies against USD and other currencies.

When I started to trade in forex, I rapidly discover how addicting this activity was: you live in a world of charts, japanese candles, exchange rates, and start to neglect family, friends and your own health. When I risked a nervous breakdown, I began to discipline myself, and now I stay in front of the monitor a fixed number of hours. Take care.

In my opinion, we need to spend more time in trading to earn money because if we don't see the chart and the news of each coins then we will be not updated on when to sell or when to buy, that's why it's hard to be a Master trader.

Which true, when you feel the excitement thinking that you are really good in assessing results then you will keep doing it again and again, you will be force to keep monitoring and keep yourself in front of your screen, you always wanted to see if your speculation will become true or if your assessment will happen, having good decisions and making it possible will make you more hunger to use most of your time.

I don't believe that's true like scalpers they scalp most of their day and only sleeps 3 hours and is awake because they scalp because they know that the market is volatile and if you don't watch it attentively you can lose it

Just make sure that your time that you will be spending will be productive and profitable. In trading, you must never use your emotions because this is one of the factors in making a trade unsuccessful and it will be your loss. When you decide, think carefully not just once but many times in order to prevent unnecessary decisions. Spending time in trading also lets you study more about trading and learn new things that can help you in further trading.

Trading is first and foremost risk management. You have to trade according to the plan, which was made in advance. After conducting a technical analysis, you must correctly put stop losses. You do not need to sit at the monitor and monitor the price constantly. Do not change your trading plan constantly

Its not true. Well, it's not about how much time you are spending on trading. All that matters is that whether that time is spent strategically or wasted by hovering on various Altcoins available for trading. If you have the strategy on how to invest, on which Altcoin your money will be invested and for what duration trading in a particular cryptocoin is worthy, that's the part of trading.

I cant say its hunger but this is somehow can be treat as a perseverance on what we do. Spending too much in trading isnt bad as long we do know on our priorities in life then it should be fine since we do know trading can really give the opportunity on making us financially free. This is the thing what most people are dreaming off since doing this thing isnt really very easy to achieve it takes time for you to learn it.

You should have better time management for your trading activity, I think too much is not good as well as too less. Actually it depends on your needs, if you are still in a learning phase then the more time you spend the faster you learn. But if you are in earning phase, time management is really needed as you should spend your time to other activity.

No, actually trading needs a lots of time. It is a timing consuming activity since you need to sure that all actions you will made are appropriate and not lead to a loss.

If you love trading and you are making money from it then I am sure you would not call it time consuming. You spend a lot of time and that is alright because trading will eventually become your passion and the more you love it, the more chances your will be more successful.
