"We are building the first blockchain based ‘image mining’ network for augmented reality or any other computer vision system, such as the Lampix product. We are creating a new blockchain that will hold {image, description} data-sets of real world objects. This data is a vital prerequisite for augmenting reality systems ranging from smartphones, wearable glasses, or our own Lampix product." quote from Lampix Whitepaper. Does this mean that you will be transferring to your own blockchain?

Nope, the idea is to store the actual data on a cloud database like Amazon Cloud or Google Cloud and just put on the blockchain the "signtaure " ( = hash) of the data. This way we don't put in a very expensive place ( blockchain) from computational point of view the data. But we do ensure that nobody messed up with the data as the data signature is on the blockchain and everybody can see it and if you modify it the signatures don't match anymore. It will be 1 signature (hash ) per "image".

You could benefit from reading the white paper on lampix.co.
"We are building a crowd-mined on the blockchain {image, description} database of at least one billion sets. We believe this database should be independent of any central control. We believe the right mechanism to encourage mining is to pay miners for their labor. We believe we should also charge users a smaller amount for using the data in the database. PIX tokens can be spent on Lampix devices which will be the simplest way for miners to mine {image, description} set. For all these reasons we need a token, we refer to as PIX, to help tying together this economy."

James, thanks for all the explanations, it was very helpful. May I ask if there are also any plans to get listed on some bigger exchanges? Thank you.

Instead of using one of the big boys like Amazon or Google, why not put data in decentralized storage that is much cheaper, like Siacoin is doing? Cryptos helping cryptos. Yes, great question. I would love to know the answer.

Glad to see you are excited. We have a Kickstarter coming up very soon. Stay tuned for announcements. It will be nice to get this in the hands of developers who can use their creativity to add even another level of excitement. Phil, Lampix Community Manager

LUXUO INTERVIEW WITH LAMPIX CEO GEORGE POPESCU In a recent interview with Luxuo, Lampix CEO and Co-Founder, George Popescu, discusses cryptocurrencies, ICOs, Lampix, and the PIX token. Popescu was asked about a dozen questions—some of which may be of particular interest to PIX token holders and, of course, those following Lampix https://lampix.co/#/news/7

Along with a redesigned website we have launched a bounty program: https://www.lampix.co/#/pix/bounty-program"We are happy to announce the Lampix Bounty Program. In addition to helping spread the word about Lampix news and company updates online, the Bounty Program helps Lampix followers earn PIX tokens. For each article posted on lampix.co, the article has a share button in the bottom right. Click this button and enter an ETH address to generate a unique link to the article being shared. Users can select a short, medium, or long version of the text to share. Each version of the text will contain a unique link, which helps Lampix track the success of that shared article. Within this process, you will be informed about the PIX credit you will receive at your ETH address when the shared link is clicked. After the link has been created, where another internet user clicks the link, the event is recorded. This way when the link is clicked enough to yield an integral amount, the amount of PIX entered for that particular article will be credited to the user’s corresponding ETH address. Please Note: PIX tokens will only be awarded for shares clicked until the expiration date of each respective article."
