I was reminded by LinkedIn that today marks the two year anniversary since I decided to officially focus on Lampix full time. I am looking back at what we had two years ago compared to what we have today. I am shocked. Every day feels like somewhat of a fight and a struggle but, if you look back at the path behind us, it feels we have climbed Mount Everest twice already.

The secret of building companies? It is the same as climbing a mountain. From time to time, I look at the map and the path ahead, but most of the time I just focus on the next step. Another secret? Focus on what the customers want. Put yourself in the customer's shoes. Forget what you know. Forget what you've previously built. Instead, imagine you are a new person who has never seen anything from Lampix and knows nothing. How will they react?

One other trick. Make it as simple as possible. Idiot proof. One button if possible. Try to make it so it doesn't need instruction. Could your grandmother figure out how to use it?

I am trying to imagine where we will be in two years from now. I honestly think it is hard to predict. We are now accelerating. Time is of the essence. Time is our most valuable asset. If you can save a day today, it will translate into being ahead of the market, the competition, and the deadline by months sooner or later.

At Lampix, we have the means to do whatever we choose to do. It all depends on us. We are aiming high. What does Apple, Google, or Facebook have that we don't have? Nothing. I believe we have it all. Our vision is to free human-computer interaction from digital screens, mice, and keyboards. We are ahead. We have the means.

How will we get there? Our priorities now are:

1 Kickstarter for Lampix in January or February and delivering by July 2018
2 One POC per month sold--preferably a well-known client
3 Building PIX ecosystem Beta by June 2018
4 Getting as many people as possible in the crypto space familiar with PIX token
5 Signing up 1 PIX data client by June 2018

I am not sure how coinmarketcap updates their market listings.  I can inquire and see what their response is.

Edit: it looks like it has to do with volume.  In their request form one of the requirements is

"Do the markets have at least $1000 USD equivalent of daily trading volume? *"

So I guess at some point the daily trading volume has to be at $1000.  I"ve seen markets listed at less but I suppose at some point it may have been at the minimum or they may have changed it, not sure.  You can request new markets on their site under the Request Form link on the bottom.

1. Quality of dataset.  You want the best possible dataset for the best results and if you are a company any edge you can against competition.
2. Clean categorization of dataset (simple data scraping may bring in unrelated images due to the ambiguity of search terms and language)
3. Companies will have legal issues using copyrighted images through data scraping.

There are many updates on Tech and more.

Tech
- Our updated website with news section is live.
- The bounty system is active and functional. As of now, our community has generated 266 referral links and these have received a total of 2,806 impressions thus far. We expect to process the first PIX payments in January.
- Work on backend infrastructure in progress. Cleaning up our server architecture, throwing out unneeded active resources and consolidating.
- Data quality measurement is a work in progress. Doing lots of experiments and creating new datasets with the (still internal) Lampix training app.
- Close to the final decision on the apps our development Lampix device will be delivered with on Kickstarter. Stay tuned in January for the complete list.
- Further improvements and stabilization on the Lampix software stack.
- Work in progress aligning a new scientific advisor for the PIX Ecosystem from a renowned U.S. university. If all goes well, we will be able to publish details in January.
- We have approached machine learning experts from UPenn, Harvard Medical School Associates, and IBM. We have submitted a proposal to a potential advisor.
