Why would milkshake premine it and then give it to you so you could see.... mmmm
Because he was an idiot and left his client running after he sent me the source to compile. He noticed it pretty fast and disconnected.
Oh? Then it was  dentldir, the other person I gave the source code to build.

I can't even mine a genesis block under a hour, do you seriously think I can premine that many blocks?

Don't waste time on discussing this just fix your source within the next 5 minutes

Guys. The correct way to do this is to

  1: Mine the seed block.
  2: Release the source code, and let binaries be created if you can't do it yourself
  3: Get the network up
  4: THEN release the seed block.

This is not rocket science.

Protip for people doing this at home:  'noirc=1' in your [whateveryoucallyourcoin].conf makes this much easier.

You'd think that people attempting to release a coin would at least have the FAINTEST idea how this stuff works.

Why would the creator of a coin give our the source code? Surely doing so would mean something like this was bound to occur?

To have someone who can compile the Windows binaries.

1. I give the source with everything ready to Hazard
2. Hazard mines 1.3k blocks, and distributes the source

The source that Hazard posted contained the old, pre-release genesis block, the only difference in main.cpp from what I got off of github yesterday was this:
diff ../../elacoin-hazard/src/main.cpp main.cpp
887c887
<       diff = GetDifficulty2(FindBlockByHeight(nHeight-1));
---
>       GetDifficulty2(FindBlockByHeight(nHeight));

(Granted, I downloaded it about 20 pages after he posted it so I have no way of knowing if released the source with the real genesis block then changed it later)

The elecoin developers can simply calm down and prepare for relaunch. For the relaunch, don't rush it and have all the important pieces ready at launch. Give yourselves time.

This coin has some good ideas in it. Don't give up.  Smiley
