if you have problem with pthreadgc2.dll, then download the file and replace to
- Windows\System32  if you have windows 32 or
- Windows\SysWOW64  if you have windows 64

CMIIW , the only way you can turn it off is by not staking it , you can use coin control features to merge 2 or more smaller chunk transactions so they can have a better chance to stake

My coins are splitting as well. Not sure if that's going to have an effect on anything. Does anyone know?

That's completely normal. If coins are staking too often (typically the threshold is 1 day), the inputs are considered to be too big, and are being automatically split by your wallet, so network could regularly produce the needed amount of blocks, and thus be more healthy.

This will not affect your staking amount in any way, you will just stake more often, but in smaller portions.

If the coin is coded correctly, you do not need to do anything, your inputs will split and combine automatically, to reflect the condition on the chain and current network staking weight.
