When that happens, then the btc will be there waiting for a genius to crack your wallet, or maybe somebody that is able to track your address. Anything could happen in the future that we haven't discovered yet. Technology evolves my friend.

I think this is a wonderful question that we can tackled  now, what if we die now or accidentally we die not introducing your source of income to your one of your family members then soon your investment boom and they didn't know how to access your account then it would be useless, so I think it is an eye opener that we should at lease inform one of our family the one you've trust for your investment not to put into waste.

That's why education is very important. Today we teach our children the importance of saving money, investing, etc. Its also done via regular media to educate people on saving, investing and basically the value of fiat currencies. If cryptocurrencies will catch up and explode, I am sure the same thing will happen. We as parents and even the media will take part in educating younger generations on how to save, invest and acquire more and more cryptocurrencies.

If it does not go that far, I believe we need to talk with a close family member and educate them on the value of cryptocurrencies and if something happens to me (or you) then that person will have all the details, basic knowledge to take over and do whatever with those cryptos! So we need to make sure in the case we die, we have someone else assigned to take care of my (your) cryptocurrencies.

Nope, this is no existential question (although...). Everybody's talking about "When will Bitcoin die", but what if you die, and your family don't find your key, or don't understand it, or think it's only a useless sheet of paper with some code on it, or simply throw it away... Does this mean the currency's gone forever?

I find the possibility of this event rather realistic (yup I don't believe in eternal life), so that means that someday there might be 21M BTC but only 18M (and counting down...) is left in the market?

I do think it is worthy of a KEYNOTE for those who have some reasonable amount of bitcoins or ethereum in their wallets. They should try and have it disclosed to their loved ones and if possible to have a WILL ready should in case of any uncertainty. I do believe a lot of assets have been lost due to improper documentation and withholding of vital information from next of kins.

I have not thought of such a thing, but if it happens I have to write a will and code to solve it

Cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin has gone beyond being a currency,it has become an asset. The fact that it is an asset makes it easy to be transferable. It can pass from one generation to another once the proper access is granted.

I think bitcoin can't die maybe the word bitcoin can die but there are so many coins like bitcoin cannot be die in fact it is so hard do kill bitcoin easily.

I think if you said what happened to your bitcoin if you died, it would be lost if you did not tell anyone from your family about it. So as soon as you get involved in bitcoin world, you have to tell them. Tell them how it works, transactions are done, and let them try using bitcoin so that when you die, everything you leave behind can be used with family.
Every one of us must die and leave everything from what he has now.

if you plan nothing to pass your keys and other related data to your family or kids, your Bitcoins die with you.

If I die there must be a family that takes care of and gets my bitcoin account. Because in my family I'm not the only one doing bitcoin.

It doesn't mean if we die the bitcoin also die. Bitcoin is now remarkable, and most of the people are now involved in cryptocurrency the bitcoin. Some of them investing their money and most of all they like to use bitcoin as a payment. And incase as what you have mentioned that what if that man died and no one member of his family know about his asset, his big amount of money in bitcoin. Well... he deserved it because he was a very secretive person or greedy.. Because even his own real family he did not trust,it's her lost.

It is realistic of course. So I think that everyone should have a special place ( wii) where all keys are kept. Moreover it would be good to add briefing aids of how to use that keys. But I must mention that you should keep in secret where this place is. Only your relatives may know it.

All of Us should have thought about this matter. what we're going to do and who are we going to entrust our Bitcoin or altcoin. Because everyone dies. that's why it's very important for us to let our family know how to access our wallet. and it will be better if we can make a video or a step-by-step instruction on how they are going to do it.

Well, I have not even thought about it yet, So it's good to make a will with the private key that we have to give to people we believe if something happens to us later a good anticipation step
That's good decision you make a last will testament for your bitcoin account and keep it to one trusted person that can tell your family your account in bitcoin if you die. And I think that your family will take your accounts and they continue your investment in bitcoin.

Well we already have few digital legacy services (including services powered by blockchain technology), so I think they will be widely used already in near future by us

well basically your crypto will be gone forever if you didn't do what the tips given to your before you had created your wallet it says you must written the private key and the wallet address in a sheet of paper to protect you from digital harm and that will serves as your back up in case of computer breakdown or any thing related and at least tell your parents or your partner that you have this kind of asset.

When a holder dies and no one have the keys to access his wallet, then what he owned will be lost forever.
Better tell one of your relatives about what you are doing and figure out a way to pass your fortune tosomeone else after your death.
I believe that one day, people will be trying to crack private keys with high performance calculators. It will be like digging tombs to find hidden treasures.

a person's eventual destiny after death will be one of the following:

Heaven: Eternity is spent in Heaven or Paradise with God, in a state that is beautiful beyond our ability to conceive.

Hell: Eternity is spent in Hell with Satan and his demons. All are tormented and tortured, in isolation from God, without any hope of mercy or relief.  Grin Shocked

I agreed with you,..That is ver much possible to be happen, So I think it is really good to do and needed that we need to teach someone we can trust about our bitcoin savings at least if there's unexpected happen to me there is person knows my private key and password.
I suggest we could give our important keysa nd information to the most nearest person in our life like our husband and wife or one of your children. We must be prepared for something that we don't have holds like death. Came unexpectedly in ones life.

Unless someone knows about your Bitcoin investment or has access to your laptop or smart phone I don't think anyone is ever going to be able to get your Bitcoins. They are going to be lost forever like the hundreds of thousands of Bitcoins already lost. If you have a large amount invested then you should consider putting your private keys in your will.

When you die, you will end up in a completely different virtual world than the one where there is now a crypto currency. Therefore, you will no longer need a crypto currency. If you do not leave clear information about what to do with your crypto currency codes, then of course, your relatives and relatives will not understand them if they do not turn to the appropriate specialists. Now access for various reasons to more than six million bitcoins has been lost. I would not say that they have already been lost forever. All of them remained in encrypted form in block-chain technology blockchein. It is said that quantum computers will soon appear that will be able to decode any codes in a very short time. So do not worry, your bitkoins for humanity will not be lost.
