why is Goldcoin priced so low.. Should be more like 30LTC / 1k GLD, no?

When the difficulty soon rises, the price will rise. The best way to get the price to rise is get people to want to purchase it and the best way to get people to want to purchase it is to have ways to spend it [gambling, exchange, ect.]

Seems to be a problem with qt. client or blockchain.. Anyone see any glitches ?

i would recommened to make a backup of wallet or copie your wallet.data. I had some glitches that it restarted to sync but after closing it and started it again it went away.

Thanks..Yes, client keeps trying to resync. from the beginning.

Resynced from the beginning for me too, is there a new client without these problems? Someone PM original dev.

Why would the price rise when dif rises ?

It's the other way around : when price rises, more people mine and difficulty goes up.

The other way around works to. But because dif rises, its harder to get, so people want more for their effort so they sell higher and its harder for people to get it by mining so they buy higher.

Ok, I may need some guidance if there isn't a windows exe

I see some binary links. Is it the binary links to get the gldcoin wallet?

I am not a programmer, so is there some instructions that help to get the wallet working?

Yes the binarys are what you want.  There will be a exe in there

Ok. Great I downloaded gldcoin qt exe then, and it is now syncing

Are their other files I ought to have downloaded as well? There is quite alot of files on the docs.google.com page

Best way is to Download windows binaries (zip) which is 0.6.3 win32   9.7MB, 3rd on the list:  from here:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-V2r5eb7IgteHRCb09RUkpJQlU/edit?pli=1

Extract all files, and run the client from the extracted stand-alone folder.

This should give you an 'E' address prefix, which I found better than the 'D'

It's happening. No viruses detected. Now, I just need someone to give me some gldcoins, so I can see if I am receiving gldcoins or not, and see how that works.

Someone want to volunteer to give me some gldcoins, please? Smiley

Thank you Majormax. I see I am receiving gldcoins now. looks a-ok

OK, great.

There is a little glitch (not seemingly a problem) in one of the clients, where it tries to resync. an overlarge blockchain from the beginning ,after being fully updated. Transactions still work normally even while this is happening, and restarting will clear it anyway.

You should be free of this on your client, but please let me know if you spot it.

i've noticed the glitch as well. something needs to be done to fix this.

Hi GLD'Rs

I like the GLD community, it looks like a solid build to acceptance rather than a hype coin. A pleasant change!

Good to hear your comment !

A steady rate of progress on network maintenance, technical stability and wider acceptance is certainly the way to go now..

Just looking to smooth out this small bug : there are different versions of the client..

Can you please let me know how you are running the .qt client ..

Is it opening from a shortcut in your start menu or taskbar ?  or are you starting it from a stand-alone folder containing all the flies (including the daemon, which keeps the background processes tidy)
