Usually to have to pay a transaction fee for faster processing...  your not talking about mined blocks right?  Your talking about sending/receiving coins?
yeah just sending and recieving coins. i got all mine from the faucet bounty. i only have a laptop so it would be a waste of a laptop to mine if you know what i mean.

Could be the low network hashrate... thing is once people can hopefully trade their gold coins easily, causing more people to mine it, things should get a lot faster.

I sent you 100 as a test to the addr in your sig, took about 4 minutes for the 1st confirmation.

on my end, i'm still at 2 confirmations. could it be my laptop? do i need to add some nodes? if so, how would i do that?

It is 1 confirmation per block mined in the network. so it should be a few minutes per confirmation. It doesn't matter how many nodes you are connected to.

I just traded him 2k gld. he went first to prove he was good for it and he came through as promised. i thought he was a scam because he was avoiding escrow, but he appears to be the one of the few legit traders.

2000 gldcoin sent to me from r3wt

Thank you r3wt Grin

By the way, how many confirmations do you think I should wait, before I am confident that gldcoins are truly confirmed?

I see that gldcoin qt confirmed after 1 confirmation, whereas bitcoin qt waits until after 6 confirmations.

Is it somehow possible for it to be confirmed once or more, and then somehow become not confirmed?

How or when does that happen?

I was not questioning whether your coins are legit or not. I was just wondering, and asking everyone in general. Just something I was thinking about is all.
