ETH will be difficult to peak because the real value has not been restored and there are signs of decline. However, ETH is implementing many policies to improve its value. And I believe in the coming years, ETH will make positive progress.

for now maybe ethereum price will be difficult to go up to 1000 $,
if ethereum price returns to 500 $ then maybe eth can go to 1000 $ again

For ICO I prefer ETH too. But for hold I prefer BTC. Can eth reach the top?  Will see....

indeed to hold in the long run, I prefer bitcoin, but for ETH to shift the position of bitcoin I think it's very difficult and impossible

ofcourse ethereum can be on the top because it is a good token and has more value than the other altcoins. Ethereum has a great platfrom which allows to create other tokens. According to me investing in ETH will be a sagacious decision. From 1 sep price of ETH was gradually going down. But from sep 17 price of ETH is going up. On sep 12 prices of ETH was 1 ETH = 182 USD now after 1 week price of ETH is 1 ETH = 224 USD which clearly shows price of ETH is going up . So investing in ETH is smart choice to get assured returns. I am not in the favour of investing in BTC as price of BTC is continuously going down. And risk tolerance is also on higher side.
