My advice to a newbie would be to take gambling as a form of entertainment and not a money-making opportunity. Always go in with a loss limit and do not chase your losses. In the long-run, the house always wins, so be prepared to lose some money in the long-run, realistically speaking.

Actually if the goal is to have fun or to make money just the same. The most important is to gamble with a calm heart, do not get carried away emotion when gambling. And all the other suggestions from you are the right things to me.

Sometimes people seek for fun first in gambling to relax from work and once they enjoy in betting and win they will want more to gain profit from it. Having a limit and control to myself in losing an amount in taking a risk in gambling will might save something what I have.

For me I just play for fun and nothing more than that... Before i already encounter and suffer such losses and i alredy regret swear not to do it again. Yes, there is no such fun based gamblers and profit based gamblers. Every gambler is purely profit based and maybe for some conversation people say that their focus is towards fun and not profit making. Gambling is fun filled, but it becomes enjoyable when won.

An occasional gambler may go for profit seeking gambling as long as following the basic rule of "gamble only what you afford to lose". I do see gamblers who are not frequent to come back to gambling are so good with their capabilities to limit themselves.

I guess anyone can go to seek either fun or profits from gambling when they will be having self control. Obviously gamblers who are good with self control are not frequenting.

There is a gambler which is not happy on how he played. Gambling is a useless or let's just say problem gambler because he usually played with no heart since gambling is only a game that people make fun of it gambling too is like a job that you need also to give your heart or love your works for you to enjoy it every seconds while playing.
Also, there is a gambler which is totally stressed on how he win the game or let's just also say greed gambler because he usually played with the only intention is to win all of the money. Since on gambling money is one of the most target of the player, they usually played because of money. Money is always the center.
In gambling the gamblers always have their reasons why they keep on playing gambling. However, even if they have the different reasons, in the world of gambling the fun seeking gambler or profit seeking gambler are the same things you need.

Call me a profit seeking gambler. To be honest gambling for fun is happening to me but it's very rare. And that's happening when I've got enough for this but still I had to stick with earning and aiming to earn better amount. Yes, I am also enjoying being a no specific targeting gambler. Yes, I am ready to accept both fun and profits whatever I come across. Making profits will be obviously fun-filled, hence no need to explain why I am into that but fun seeking is not feasible for most gamblers here and I am switching myself into that mode when I am coming to know that I am facing losses.

I had to be straight that I'm a profit seeking gambler. It's fun when you are having profit so you can be a two-type gambler at the same time whenever you win. But if you are just a fun seeking gambler, make sure that you don't need profit.

Well being a profit makes desperate to achieve certain amount or you won't stop until you got what I need where as fun seeker you are already prepared to lose some money and it is less stress because even if you lost, at least you had the contentment of seeing the odds and watching people question there decisions when they lost or they got robbed after they had a big win.

Well the enjoyment surely will come out when you are winning but be true to yourself that when you are losing from gambling do you really still enjoy it? I think there are people that are seeking gambling as fun but it is on the first try on playing it and then at the end they will surely look for a more profiting way to play it, be true to yourself you are playing gambling because of the profit you might get, you can surely play other stuff that doesn't include money to have fun, why would you play gambling that are very risky in the first place.
