Luck is fickle.  But I did a quick look at the past 3 months and the average luck is 50.26.  Of course that's an average of percentages which we have been told since grammar school you can't do.  But I'm no math wiz and the number looks good.
But the past 30 days has been crap.

But the past 30 days has been crap.

If we want less variance, we need more hashing power.

Invite your mining friends to the site. We have a lot of hashing power coming to the pool over the next couple of months, but this is future looking statement and not what is, today.

Development Update

Been away on a family vacation so not too much has been done. We are working with our designer to re-think some of the UI and have also created a landing page for the pool. More of this work will continue, though with the holidays rapidly approaching, we probably won't see a launch to the public till after Jan 1.

Work has been completed this morning to deal with stale/orphan blocks. I have been watching the logs all morning and blocks are coming though much quicker and in sync between all pool servers. This should reduce our overall stale/orphan blocks.

Update

Forgot to mention that we are also creating larger blocks. Our original limit was at 350k with no minimum. The settings have been updated to allow for up to 600k in block size with 150k minimum so that we clear out the mempool when creating a block.

It's ironic that we just got an orphaned block, looks like it took an hour to propagate? Any reason that it orphaned?

The block couldn't of come in an hour late as it wouldn't have been a race with Eclipse, the block just would have been rejected instead of being orphaned. We lost a bonafide block race and lost due to BTC Guild building a block on top of Eclipses only 20 seconds after.

So my Gh/s has not changed and my rejects have not gone up, but my shares have dropped from .52% to .48% pace over the past day.  I can't figure out what is going on.  I restarted everything.  All my miners are running at the same speed as they were.  Not sure what else to check.
What could I be missing?

The shifts have become shorter, so you're submitting less shares, due to the pool hashrate increasing.

Pool stats looked weird for a bit too, but seems to be normalizing.

I did this same calc quickly too...pool hash went up from ~95-~110 so our payout has decreased proportionately but we are hopefully going to solve more blocks....if we ever solve this 20+ hr block that is.

Sad I left Eligius for this pool due to too much downtime, now im back on Eligius since this is down, oh the irony. Also I noticed that Bitminter is dead for me too, its my last backup but it appears to be down. Eligius and BTCguild are working for me.
