The thing that makes Billionaire Token different is, simply put: it's made to be burned!

1. The weekly raffle will destroy 10% of the tokens that are sent to it.
2. After the Token Sale, whatever is not sold is destroyed.
3. On 05-sep-2017 we will burn whatever is left in the bounty address.
4. Anyone can burn their own tokens.

Add all of these on top of a coin with a maximum of 3,333,333 coins and a usage, and you'll realize it all then boils down to having an even distribution, to make the token valuable.

What's the incentive for someone to burn his or her own tokens?

I imagine gamblers do it for the thrill.

Haha, lol. The first one is to yell that it's a scam has arrived. Well, the developer is super transparent and the project looks good. If someone is to say stuff like this, I am really really curious for the reasons you can find the total supply and how its distributed already. It doesn't get more transparent then that. Hey Sowik,

We did have an ICO price in mind, but because of community feedback we have decided to re-work the distribution model from scratch.

As of right now, there is no price set for the ICO, we're still debating over what the price and the bonuses should be.
Have no fear, though, as we are specifically looking for a Token Sale setup that is most fair to all participants.

Our goal is to have the exchange prices never go below ICO price and we hope to achieve this by:

1. Setting a lower price than we originally had in mind.
2. Setting longer bonuses for everyone: In the old distribution model (the one we decided to change) we had an initial 5 hour window with a 75% bonus, after that the bonus would not get any higher than 35%. We felt that this would be unfair for the Billionaire Token buyers that did not have the chance to get in that initial, 5 hour window to get the cheapest available price.
3. Burning the tokens that are left in the Bounty Account (0x23EA016b4EBA78dFC374E99b2F6793f8d2dB3ff1) on 05-Sep-2017, when the Bounty Campaign finishes.
4. Burning the unsold tokens from the Token Sale Account (0x0ebc164451dbabde43ba587b4a3327d435728e15) after the ICO is finished.

The Bounty Campaign lasts until 05-Sep-2017. After this date (or possibly even sooner, if we run out of funds) all of the remaining tokens from the Bounty Account will be burned.

So you burn coins and thereby participate in a lottery or what?

The Billionaire Token smart contract has natively implemented burn() and burnFrom() functions.
You do not participate in any raffle by burning coins at the time being. The "Become a Billionaire" raffle is not yet implemented on the Ethereum network.
However, we have a running bounty, that will reward anyone that burns their own coins, they will receive their initial burned amount and 25% bonus.
