I don't think it will drop too much anyway, loads of people expected it to drop when BCH came along but if anything it has made bitcoin stronger, I think this will do the same.

Bitcoin will break the price of $ 8000 - $ 12000 this year, and I really hope that, invest immediately before regrets later on, maybe this BCH appear to be a positive impact for BTC.

That is a big amount of money for a coin, even the price of bitcoin will reach $4,000 this year i'm okay with that. It's 1 day left actually and both Bitcoin and bitcoin cash price are increasing right now. So is 8th August will be good for bitcoin or bitcoin cash or both ? My hope is bitcoins price will stable on that price but i accept it if it increase lmao.

Well, I just hope that this news will not provoke new panic among newbies and people will keep their founds. As many others I think the price will continue to climb up, but i don't expect any serious move right on 8th of August. We will see new change only few days after the event.

no there is no reason left for a decline. all the reasons for negativity are now well over. there is only rise ahead of bitcoin and price will continue to go up only.
remember though a price drop after a big rise is not a decline exactly. for example when price goes up to $3250 and comes down to $3190 it is called a correction and it is already over.

I do not expect some serious change, like it was on the 1st of August - in the exactly day the price stayed the same and moved forward only after couple days. So, I expect to see something similar on 8th of August.

The serious pump of bitcoin above 3000$ was due to the hardfork.
Even after august 8, we might get a serious pump after the segwit activation and also the blockchain may be improved to get some faster transactions. The all we can do is just to wait and watch until August 8.

Well, it is now that the segwit was very confusing for me. Well, the Aug 8th is tomorrow, so there's not much time to wait until we can see what happens. Meanwhile Bitcoin is rising, slowly, step by step, but rising. It's $3,257 right now. Who would've guessed that the price of Bitcoin will go so high one year ago, when the price was around $600?

I have a friend who said that since it is ghost month there is a possibility a price pump will happen. Don't really know if it is going to happen but some chinese investors do believe in superstitious belief and we'll never know some of these investors are also holding on to some of these coins and might be the whales too. But that's just my opinion though, I'm not a superstitious person but I do always expect the unexpected.

What about the November hard fork? It seems to have major support from miners and businesses, so I think a major split is possible if they go through with it.

It makes me nervous that everyone expects the price to pump on this "news."  Usually that means the opposite will happen. BIP91 has been stable for quite some time, and the price started pumping ever since miners started signalling it. Perhaps Segwit is already priced in, given that we are already pushing to new all-time highs in the last couple days.

There is no exact date for the pump in the price of bitcoin because it will pump if there will be a huge demand in the market and it doesn't have exact date to pump. The only thing that we know about bitcoin is, it will pump in the future and we should be ready for that event by having a lot of bitcoins that are saved up.

Yes its good the technical aspect of bitcoin  that would aid mass adoption is being developed and getting it locked it is something to be happy about but at the same time we should not just be over joyous with that because there are still other factors that come into play for merchants to accept the coin among which include to be on the right side of law which is key at this time considering the various court cases and agencies involvement in recent times.
