Stake.com administration had blocked my account with 16,000 affiliate players and all the funds in it, refusing to unblock. They even stopped reading my messages in their support service!

So here's what happened:
0. I've been using stake.com's affiliate program for about 2 years now, resulting in more than 16,000 users in my affiliate account.

1. Someone had hacked my Stake.com account about a month ago. I did not receive any notice about suspicious logins or anything like that. Neither did I receive any withdrawal confirmations. One day I've logged in to the account and found 3 things:
a) my account was blocked
b) there were many withdrawals I didn't even know about.
c) someone has contacted support from this account asking to unblock.

Disclaimer: I know that I should've setup 2-step verification, but I didn't.

2. On 4th December I have contacted support. The support staff named Vladimir was reluctant and arrogant. He said, that "Our system using last security trends on market, there is no way to compromise it.", which of course is not true, because as I've said earlier, I never even received a notice about suspicious logins or withdrawals from my account.

Vladimir suggested that I could sign a message using one of my "valid" bitcoin addresses which I've used previously to prove I'm the owner of the account. He also sent me a link to instructions from blockchain.info: https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/210353833-What-is-message-signing-and-how-can-I-do-that-. The instructions are clear and up to date (edited on November 20th):
>This feature is currently only available for your Imported Addresses, but will be implemented for all addresses in the future.

As my addresses were not imported, but generated inside that wallet, I cannot sign a message in blockchain.info. I offered to send them my blockchain.info login and password to that account, as I wasn't planning to use it anymore and it was empty. Vladimir didn't like the idea Smiley

3. Next day I thought like: I've sent them many users from the same website. They can check their logs to see the domains my traffic comes from, so I can prove I'm the owner of the account basically by proving the ownership of the website. I could modify stake.com's link for instance, or something like that. Sent this idea to Vladimir, the message was read but no response.

4. After a week of waiting for response I decided to file a new ticket with the same info and so I did 2 days ago. Not read, no response.

5. Created a new ticket yesterday, like "Hello, anyone there?" – received a response that my ticket was assigned back to Vladimir who wasn't at the office at that time, so "He should be here in a couple of hours and he will contact you back as soon as he gets here.". 1 day passed since then – my ticket still was neither read nor responded to.

I honestly think Stake.com is a pretty damn good crypto gambling website, though I'm sure support could've done better. Also I think the security process for suspicious logins / withdrawals could be improved.

Hoping to get my account unblocked soon, as I clearly don't wanna lose all my affiliate players.

Stake checks IP address and device, so they can easily see it is you.

How much affiliate revenue does your Stake account generate per month?

I understand they should be tracking that, but in practice it doesn't help neither to stop the hackers from logging in, nor to stop them from cashing out.

As to affiliate revenue, it's not much as I'm sending people from my faucet, but still I think it's not fair to lose it due to that reason Sad

Dear Stake.com team, can you please help me solve the problem with my account that I've described in this thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2072589.msg48601036#msg48601036 please?

Hi man, I don't have a final answer for it. But I can explain some of the things:
- If you use all the security options available from Stake, there is not way to lose any deposit or account. It never happened, 0% chance. You can set up 2-factor for the account, and the deposits can be behind another layer of security with the vault (with another password and 2-factor).
The compromise in the security of the account was not from Stake's side.

- Signing a message is a good way to prove the account is yours, only a person with the private key can do that. But..
- Letting a third party to manage your private keys (and letting them to hide it from you) is another security hole from your side. Instead, set up a wallet using bitcoincore, or electrum, and store your own private key and seeds for yourself, and only for yourself.

- The problem now is to prove the account is yours, are you the one talking here or is it the impersonator? If a person got your Stake login credentials, he can access to your Stake account, and see your referrals campaigns, and then browse in google from where you got those referrals. It is not a valid proof. -
- Same goes for giving your Blockchain.info login, because the impersonator may get that info the same way he got your Stake credentials (by hacking your email, or whatever), that is why it is not a valid method.

🎆Let's light up the sky! 🎆
Ends: 15/12/18 @ Midnight (12am) GMT

As Christmas gets close so does the Grinch's effort to ruin it increases. To fight him off you will receive pointers on what to do every midnight.

Seems you helped Santa a lot in the past two weeks to defeat Grinch in every single battle, and that made him quiet. We are not sure if he's planning another attack or if he finally realized he can't fight with Santa and his friends. Whatever it is, we will use this quiet time to make preparations for the celebration. And what could be more interesting then testing how the fireworks that Santa bought work?

In order to light a wick, you must hit the flint as hard as possible with our plinko balls! Only balls that fall into fields that are giving a multiplier higher than 100x are strong enough to light it up! But we will light up only three now, we have to keep the rest for the Christmas Eve! Wink

All players who achieve the challenge in the remaining hours, will get a share in the prize pool, and we will have more presents to share! 🎆 🎆 🎆

Requirement

Win three bets in Plinko with multipliers higher than 100x. All the three multipliers have to be different!
    Minimum bet:
        0.00000100 BTC
        0.00003500 BCH
        0.00003900 ETH
        0.00014000 LTC
        1.60000000 DOGE
    1 valid entry per household.
Ghost mode must be disabled during the whole duration of the promotion.
    20+ Post count on forum.

Prize Pool

Daily prize pool based on the number of individual players: 0.05 BTC

🎄Saving Christmas Party!🎄
Ends: 16/12/18 GMT
[/b]

As Christmas gets close so does the Grinch's effort to ruin it increases. To fight him off you will receive pointers on what to do every midnight.

Christmas fever has started in the Stakeland and everyone is counting down the days till the special Christmas party. But while we were too much excited watching the fireworks lightning up the sky, Grinch seized the opportunity and managed to steal all decorations for the planned Christmas party. We must gather quickly and stop him before he destroys them all. Mission 'Saving Christmas party' can start. 😎

To defeat him in this battle, you must start with finding the way to his secret cave where decorations are hidden. Luckily, he wasn't very clever leaving his footprints on the snow, so all you need to do is use your detective powers and follow the track that leads to his cave (Hilo). Once you find yourself in the cave, beware of the jingle bells Grinch has placed as an alarm all over the place, we don't want to wake him up (Mines). At the end of the cave, there is a locked safe with Christmas decorations. It's time to show off your safecracker's skill and quickly crack the code before Grinch finds you (Dice). We have defeated Grinch before in his evil plans, so I'm sure this will be another successful mission. Once decorations are back to their place, there's only one thing left to do. Write an invitation for Christmas party (Forum topic) so you can celebrate it with your loved ones.:x

All players who achieve the challenge in the next 24 hours, will get a share in the special prize pool of 0.1 BTC, and we will have more presents to share.

Requirement

1. Win the following bets:

    - Hilo: Win a bet by successfully revealing at least 15 cards (starting card included).
    - Mines: Win a bet with 13 gems and 6 bombs with the "bell" pattern (check the Stake forum to find the patterns).
    - Dice: Win two consecutive bets on a 25x payout.
    Minimum bet:
        bitcoin 0.00000100
        bitcoin cash 0.00003500
        ethereum 0.00003900
        litecoin 0.00014000
        dogecoin 1.60000000
Bets must have been made in the given order: Hilo -> Mines -> Dice
Bets must have been made after the commencement of this promotion.
    1 valid entry per household.
Ghost mode must be disabled during the whole duration of the challenge.
    20+ Post count on forum.

2. Make a Forum topic with opening post containing at least 200 words. Topic can be made in one of the listed forums or sections - Stake Games, Stake Discussion, Gambling Forum (Other Websites and Gambling Streaming sections not included), Cryptocurrency Forum, Off topic Forum (General Discusion and Forum games section not included), Russian and Local Forum.

🎄Snowman!🎄
Ends: 17/12/18 GMT
[/b]

As Christmas gets closer so does the Grinch's effort to ruin it increases. To fight him off you will receive pointers on what to do every midnight.

You must feel tired after yesterday's endeavours to save the decorations, but one is never tired and never too old to build a snowman! We'll have some rest and fun until we go on another adventure.
Let's start with getting 3 snowballs for the snowman first - to do this, roll 14.00x twice in a row (Snowman's body) on Wheel and one more roll on 7.80x (doesn't have to be in a row after the first 2) for the Snowman's head. We'll take care of the additional accoutrements later. Let's roll! ☃️

All players who achieve the challenge in the next 24 hours will get a share in the prize pool, and we will have more presents to share!

Requirement
Win 2 consecutive bets on 14.00x (high risk multiplier, 16 segments) and after that win once on 7.80x (high risk multiplier, 14 segments).
Only the two bets on 14.00x need to be consecutive, the third one, 7.80x, doesn't have to be back-to-back with them.
    Minimum bet:
        bitcoin 0.00000100
        bitcoin cash 0.00004200
        ethereum 0.00003900
        litecoin 0.00014000
        dogecoin 1.50000000
Bets must have been made after the commencement of this promotion.
    1 valid entry per household.
Ghost mode must be disabled during the whole duration of the challenge.

Milk and cookies!
Ends: 21/12/18 @ Midnight (12am) GMT

As Christmas gets close so does the Grinch's effort to ruin it increases. To fight him off you will receive pointers on what to do every midnight.

Santa needs to find his way in the dark across the room of the house he landed in, so to help him avoid all obstacles go to Plinko. Set the parameters on High, 12 pins and hit the 170x, so he could know which left-right path to follow.
After that, we need to turn on those twinkling Christmas lamps, so he could take a good look at the room. To achieve that, you should find same colored lamps, which means that you need to hit 2 bets (3 of a kind and 4 of a kind) in Diamond Poker. You can pick yourself what color you want to turn on.
And now, to serve Santa his well deserved milk and cookies, you must bake that cookie first. Win a bet in Keno with the parameters given down in the requirements. 🍪🥛
While he eats cookies fresh from the oven he can check the note you left on the table. Make a Forum post on specific topic we created for this occasion. Perhaps he could help a bit with your wishes!

All players who achieve the challenge in the next 24 hours, will get a share in the special prize pool of 0.1 BTC, and we will have more presents to share.

Christmas Spirit Giveaway!

Santa Clause 🎅 recently stopped by Stake and has left behind some Christmas Bitcoin! 🌲  Since the holidays are about giving he wanted you all to vote on who's going to win the 3 prizes! The way it's going to work is you simply copy the template below and fill it in.  We've all met many great friends through Stake and now it's time to let them know who they are! Earn .0002 btc just for voting!

Template

___ should win $10 because __________

___ should win $20 because __________

___ should win $30 because __________

In the first blank spot you will tag a friend and only votes with a tag will be counted. Example: @Steve

The second blank spot will be filled in with your reasoning why this person should be the winner and this can be as long as you want!

You can be the Grinch and vote for yourself as long as it's not an alt account, but where's the fun in that?

Voting will end the day after Christmas!

All 3 votes must be different people.

Vote for the players not the staff! You can vote for mods but don't vote for Admins or Supports. If you've already done this feel free to change your vote!

10 post count minimum to vote and anyone who votes for an alt account will have their post trampled by Santa's reindeer.

You can join this Giveaway here
