Honestly I expect nothing special to happen.
I suppose it's gonny be something like the last halving: Everybody is sitting infront of the computer and waiting for some miracle to happen.
But in the end it turned out that the expected price increase has already happened.
And the situation we have right now strongly reminds me of that.

By August 23? Hmm it's quite a short amount of time to say that it will reach $4,500 but it's possible to happen. I'll go with that it's going to be at $3,700-$3,800 on that day I guess we are now in a slow movement. As this is what I observed with the movement that it has calm move for now.

All jokes aside, i think that $4500 is a very achievable level after 23 August. We have seen the 1st August event absolutely blowing everyone's minds and the price going way up instantaneously. We have seen after 8th august when SW was locked in how the price went up to $3000+ and is still climbing.

And all this without a thing that's actually been done really. So when SW is actually activated i would suspect another $1000+ rise. This will take the entire crypto market cap to more than $150 billion. However, not all coins will benefit. Bitcoin cash, for one, will probably drop dramatically after segwit is activated.

If $4500 isn't hit, a $4000 level will be broken at least.

All went very quickly. Bitcoin prices rise like never-ending, this is good for bitcoin development and also for those of us who always use bitcoin. Investing in bitcoin makes me able to get anything, everything feels very easy like in a dream. Bitcoin is a future and also a very beautiful miracle.

What will happen at 23rd august  I don't think there is anything scheduled for that date so predicting price for some random date like that doesn't make any sense. Price might be at over $4k by end of this august. Segwit gonna activated within next few days, that might affect the price alot.

August 23 — This is around when we can expect block 481824, which is when Segwit should activate. From this block on, Segwit transactions will be legal on the network. This also sets the activation date for BIP102 on Segwit2x to block 494784 (exactly 144*90 blocks later).

I don’t think so there is anything wrong in predicting the price of bitcoins for any date or day. Though there is nothing scheduled but still in the shadow of coming events, we can predict the prices. Yes, Segwit is going to affect values in a positive way.

Yeah, I agree with you, 4500$ seems feasible by August 23rd. However, I do not think it will stay that strong long, because all of this caused by a SegWit hype I guess. We should come back to around 3500$ I think after the fever has gone.

Even though if Bitcoin come back at $3500 it'll eventually surpass the current ATH like what it has always done before. Every time I'm selling my Bitcoin, I just feel damn regret because if I hold it longer, I'll have more amount of money. Well, that's always happened in this crypto currency world.

Right now the price sits at a respectable $4150 per coin on most exchanges per bitcoin, which is more than enough for me, personally. Remember this is not even a week until Segwit gets activated, and i don't think the bullish trend is going to stop when that date comes.

$4500+ would be a decent level, but every single time there is a pump it always overshoots. Therefore, i think probably 4600-4700 per coin 1-2 days after SW activation.

This is crazy, crazy stuff though. I would have been considered a maniac for saying these things a couple of months ago.

I hope so this happen due to increase of block size in mining network. However, I noticed the fees for the transaction has been increased to 0.00082 btc in my Coinbase wallet. Is there any connection between both of this thing?

I have around 0.58 btc in my wallet and planning to buy to mobiles for my brothers. I hope that I can better one if price rise to even bigger number.

I think we just hit above $4200 now which is a good sign. At least we have recovered already from the past days price correction. I think Segwit activation will be on Aug 24 though as there are still 112 blocks needed. So we may see another bull run in the next coming days and we could hit $4500 again.

I've noticed that the mempool has been clogged lately so it maybe a factor of the increasing transaction fee's we are seeing again. But definitely it will be cleared don't you worry. We have been here before and for sure you have the patience to wait a little bit until the issue is resolved. Wow. What phones are you thinking of getting for your brother? IPhone 7s or Samsung S8?

i think also it will reach $4500 at this state right now btc right now august 23 was $4200 and it will raise this day i know it. maybe not $4500 tomorrow but it will reach $4500 after this day. im not selling out my bitcoin today im gonna wait $5000 barrier before i sell it out because big dump is coming this november.

I consider that price would make to 4500$ soon. Till its price is near about 4200$ but it will break 5000$ up to next month positively. So it will smartness in holding them for great future profits...
