What will happen at 23rd august  I don't think there is anything scheduled for that date so predicting price for some random date like that doesn't make any sense. Price might be at over $4k by end of this august. Segwit gonna activated within next few days, that might affect the price alot.

August 23 — This is around when we can expect block 481824, which is when Segwit should activate. From this block on, Segwit transactions will be legal on the network. This also sets the activation date for BIP102 on Segwit2x to block 494784 (exactly 144*90 blocks later).

Nowadays I am watching that Bitcoin price is going up day by day.After 1 August we saw that Bitcoin price is increasing and we should expect that the price will go up after 23 August.It is good news for us that Bitcoin price is increasing.

If SegWit will get activated on the network for real on 23rd August then we will surely see $4000 crossed and maybe some more price consolidation will also be seen and may inflate higher till $5000 before it gets settled somewhere back near $3800.

There is nothing special that is expected on 23 August other than the fact that bitcoin price will keep on rising so lets just keep our fingers crossed and see the price of bitcoins to move upward on daily basis.

Hope this happen! I have been expecting a serious pump since August 1. Now that another event has been scheduled for August 23 may we get to the moon then. If the price will get to $4500 before the end of August  then the best time to buy is now.

Wow  i didnt know there was gonna be more about SegWit in the upcoming days... Lets see what happen guys, as i see bitcoin is now being unstopabble since aug 1st, its amazing, i can expect a $3900 - $4000 to this event, no more, lets be realistic guys, it will go up but slowly.
Anyone knows when all of this Segwit will finish? i dont understand it, i thought after aug 1st it was over, but no hahaha , its crazy

Still I am too not seeing anything on 23rd aug which is other than 2 weeks from today. I guess OP wants to speculate what is going yo happen in next 2 weeks. I guess we are going to test $5000 levels in this two weeks of time.

I also was not aware of the August 23th. Only August 1st, 8th and november with second hardfork with a second free coin maybe.
We should make a time plan for good predictions.

Such a high price the fact we don't know what will be the price of bitcoin this coming 23 of august but i believe the price can be just touch arround $3500-$3800 this is much possible for me that i think i think the price can be reach but everything in bitcoin can be possible if more people will invest in bitcoin the price can be touch in $4k above..
But for now i don't see any sign of the price can be increase above $4k.

Well this is a really big amount to achieve. We can hope that Bitcoin reach that price, As, We are seeing that Bitcoin price is raising day by day with a huge difference we may see Bitcoin near 4000$ but 4500$ is hard.

But,in my opinion we will see another decline.it should be a week or around that time.
and yes,we will hit $4000 or even more this year.

For me i think the price of bitcoin will be 4000 dollars in the date of august 23 or before end of this month. I dont know what is the event or anything happen in august 23 but I believe that the bitcoin still continue to increase.

Yes Segwit is activated and now we have to wait for 20 days to complete and if nothing is problem then here we seeing bitcoin working fully with new segwit features. And the price of bitcoin will be $4k +

I think it will go up but not really $4,500. That's practically doubled. It is only a few days before that time and I don't think it would happen. I think it is more realistic to think about that price for the end of the year. Well, bitcoins doubled in price in the past but not really in that short time span. Though I am not closing my doors to such possibilities as I really believe prices will go up because of the segwit activation.

And do you honestly think that majority of the bitcoin holders/users are monitoring the situation to know that detail?
From my experience, I can tell you that most of Bitcoin users are not interested in what is under the hood.
They care only about potential gains and long term goals.
