Ethereum is the best and king of altcoins and it is the next big thing next to Bitcoin. Rather than choosing number 3 to 10 in top listing in altcoins you can choose the best and the most potential one. My suggestion will be like splitting your investment like 50% into Ethereum and the next 50% split into 2 or 3 different altcoins like Ripple, NEO or Bitcoin Cash.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found a hidden GEM called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

If you want to invest long term, I recommend buying Monero. Monero is often underestimated but it has great potential and technology. Monero can not be hacked, all transactions are completely anonymous, no third party can find the user, including the government. I think in the future the government will tighten control of the crypto market, so many investors will choose Monero. Until then Monero's price will be very high.
