I think there is not really a problem with being a transgender one. The problem is actually those who do not accept this event because they are not really women or men. We have different perspectives and beliefs about life so we have to respect every one of us

I am really indifferent about transgenders, Lesbians, Gays or whatever... The LGBT community in whole. In my country there arent transgenders(well not one publicly known). but there are gays and lesbians. As long as we dont have to clash on sexual terms, we cool. In my country transgenders are treated like animals. Their families give them up and they are raised by groups of transgenders living together, who raise them as their own. They are forced to beg, dance or sell their bodies in order to earn a living. They are looked down upon by the society because of their profession, but it's the society itself who has left them no choice.They are normally bullied, beaten and raped. In spite all of this they manage to put a smile on their face and live their life. In our society they are referred to as 'khawajasira' or 'khusra'. They have no job opportunities and until recently they were not even recognized as legal citizens. A lot of them have been fighting for their rights and they have succeeded to some extent, but honestly their is a long way to go.

Transgender are also humans who deserve respect and a fair treatment because being a transgender is something that they can't control because it is already a part of their being. Transgender in my country, where there is a high number of Catholic is partly accepted. But we can not change the fact that this will be hard to accept in the Philippines knowing that Sexuality is classified only into two categories. the Male and Female.

Their criminality rates and probability of violence are also much higher. So you can't really say that they are not hurting anyone.
