Yes,most of the people around the world are not aware of this wonderful technology.Even when some come to hear the name bitcoin, they just think it as another commodity and just don't show interest in it.I have seen most people who had already heard about bitcoin many years ago and now they regret for not having invested in bitcoin.Yet,there are more people around the world who don't have access to internet and don't know about digital transactions as well as bitcoin. One of main reason for this is there is no central authority to advertise about bitcoin since it is a decentralized currency and no one is ready to advertise about bitcoin.

We are always on this kind of waiting game on which we would really love to see that those merchants on our places would already recognize bitcoin and thats really an advantage for us bitcoin users since we can directly spend our bitcoin without the need on exchanging it to fiat first but for now it isnt really recognized yet which means we would really need to wait up a little bit more and we are sure time will surely come.

i think they don't following new technology especially with the economy aspect and i see they don't care with something that might help them to earn money from their additional job. but i am sure, if one day they know about bitcoin with the price, they will attract to bitcoin, they buy bitcoin, they will use bitcoin in their daily life and this will make bitcoin price is increase so high.

I think it is really good that most of the people don't know what is bitcoin. This means that we are among the 1% (not sure about the percentage) of people that have known bitcoin sooner. That time when all of people know what is bitcoin and need that for their life, the price will be much higher than today. So we will be rich.

Bingo. I get annoyed hearing it so much among bitcoiners so often, but it's very true: we are still early adopters. IMO, scoop up all the coins you still can, and be mindful of opportunities in altcoins to accumulate more bitcoins. Cryptocurrencies aren't going anywhere, and I'm very confident that Bitcoin will remain the king that rules them all.

I have asked around myself trying to do a poll in a big city. My conclusions are:

1 out of 100 boomers may have heard about it but have no idea about it
10 out of 100 millennial may have heard about it but have no idea about it

People that really know about it or own some are people that are mostly geeks and are interested in cryptography computers, then the other group is investors and speculators.

Bitcoin is still TINY. And the fact that big blockers want to rush the blocksize increase agenda is ridiculous when clearly we don't need that.

Agreed. I see this as an advantage to us. Think of it as being ahead from the others, is like being one of those who are leading in the line. Sooner or later when bitcoin would grow, be known and be globally used would bring convenience and advantage to those who have adopted now.

That may be true from your anecdotal experience. But we also need to consider that most of the supply is mined out already. Does your poll take into account institutional investors and hedge funds? I've heard for years now that they are entering the space fairly quickly, and this makes sense given the speed at which Bitcoin supply is running out.

If it were only the regular plebs like myself we were competing with, I wouldn't be too worried. It's the Goldman Sachs and other investment banks that I'm worried about. I think these companies are very much aware of Bitcoin and are moving in.

Yep, it is good for those who are currently investing into bitcoins because they are not having any tough competition. Lesser investors mean that you can easily grab your desired coins without any hard struggle. The day when bitcoins made legal, the war will start about grabbing bitcoins.

This happens because it really very difficult to decide to buy a bitcoin for $ 4200. If the person is only going to get acquainted with bitcoin. Bitcointalk is the only forum which allows you to earn bitcoins for review. The more such opportunities the greater will be members of the bitcoin community.
Indeed, until now majority of the people don't know what bitcoin really all about. It's not easy for them to understand it so easily, it really need time and effort to find out the deepest usages and benefits that it give to anyone who will get interest to learn and study the bitcoin.

I am among those 1% knows about bitcoin, just few people knew about it but in the nearest time that few will become many as bitcoin is going to be a part of some transactions online.

Well that's what we're trying to accomplish right now. Though its still not as widely accepted as we would have wanted, btc use is now more common than a year or two ago. We may not be there yet but we're well on our way for more businesses to know bitcoin

I know right. Bitcoin is still highly underrated. We are gradually getting more and more media attention and thus mainstream adoption is happening quicker, but not quick enough it seems. In order to actually use Bitcoins effectively - I mean for everyday purchases - these vendors have to accept! The best way to increase Bitcoin adoption is for governments to actually endorse the use of Bitcoin and more advertising. Facebook, twitter, youtube ... and the like. All these organisations need to promote Bitcoin. If this happens, I am fairly certain that merchants will see the benefits of Bitcoin and begin accepting them as payment. Then we will see another price jump.

Yeah if all of the people knows that bitcoin is exist. I think lot of people  will be interested on bitcoin. And also the bitcoin rates will go higher. .cause its so simple to earn if you have some knowledge if how its works. Ithink soon bitcoin will be in public .so that it can helps a lot on our community. For sure.
But many people don't know the risks. And they don't get what it is and why its valued.

It can either go up like crazy, or go to 0 the next day. the risk is high

I called around some stores to see if they accept BTC, no one has even heard of it except like 0.1% of people.  Wait till people actually find out this exists...

Well that's what we're trying to accomplish right now. Though its still not as widely accepted as we would have wanted, btc use is now more common than a year or two ago. We may not be there yet but we're well on our way for more businesses to know bitcoin

As the price of bitcoin is rising, the attention to it rise as well. Bitcoin is regarded as a fad before but when its price is three times compared to an ounce of gold then it certainly got more attention. Big companies planning to mine cryptocurrency, projects and ICOs implemented and many more events related to cryptocurrencies are factors as well that made some big whales invest in crypto. While it is not yet mainstream, we will grab as much as we can because we never know what the future will be.

It is obvious in my country (and I guess same about rest of the world). Bitcoin is still in its early phase and currently, not even 1% population is using Bitcoin and the number of merchants accepting Bitcoin is very less.  When I asked some friends or strangers about Bitcoin, they replied that they don't have any idea about it. There is huge scope for the growth as I can see the people who are capable of Using Bitcoin (as they are already using digital form of fiat) are not using it and the number is tremendous.

I think it is really good that most of the people don't know what is bitcoin. This means that we are among the 1% (not sure about the percentage) of people that have known bitcoin sooner. That time when all of people know what is bitcoin and need that for their life, the price will be much higher than today. So we will be rich.

Yes, it is good for those early adopters of bitcoin. While we still can, before a mass adoption occurs, let us save as many bitcoin as we can so that when the time comes, we will have a great advantage over new adopters. The price of bitcoin will surely rise more by then. Let's take full advantage of this opportunity, we are lucky enough to one of the people who accept bitcoin earlier than others.

I think they are not yet being informed about it. Even in my country also it does, and I guess maybe they are not interested in Bitcoin, just maybe or maybe they didn't saw some news about it. Just be calm someday they will recognize and know what it is, maybe this time it is not that popular, as i knew that most people that knows about Bitcoin are people in the internet.

We that know about bitcoin should do everything within our means to invest in bitcoin and cryptocurrency to make their life better. From my country over 95% of our citizens do not know about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.  We should to make good comment on our facebook page and make free tweet about bitcoin.
