I called around some stores to see if they accept BTC, no one has even heard of it except like 0.1% of people. Wait till people actually find out this exists...
Because it is not yet legal to most of the countries. And the legalization will be the way for the retailers to recognize what Bitcoin is. Or if it will be demanded by their customers. That's the advocacy of Bitcoin, which is to ebcourage more people, organizations and companies to invest, use and be one of the Bitcoin community to make its demand higher. If we will be able to encourage more people, it will be more popular to the market. I know the legalization of the government will make the adoption of a very big time. because people will be sure and believe in bitcoin. Because the government has legalized and allowed. But legalization can not be obtained easily? Many countries even ban bitcoin. But do not bother with it. Because without legalization though. The spread of bitcoin will continue Legalization of bitcoin by government is very important but I think we are also not fulfilling our duties. Government should legalize and spread the knowledge about bitcoin, but the thing is that many countries have not legalized it and they don’t fell its importance. It is legalized or not. Bitcoin can be spread and it surely will without legalization but we also should tell people and encourage them to move towards this. |

The overall awarness for crypto is very low. With this years pump people heard about it, but still dont "KNOW" anything about it. Some just associate BTC to blackmarkets and shady business. But the awarness for the technological leap is near to none...

In germany it's pretty common actually. You can also order food online paying with bitcoin...  I think that Germany the one and only exception in the world, even in the last year when some country gathered to limit the transactions in bitcoin and limit his value by blocking hos growth Germany a said no ! |

I live pretty close to Germany and watch German TV sometimes, they never talk about BTC. There are some guys of course who know about the currency but I don't think that the percentage of people who use BTC is higher in Germany than in another country like France, the UK or the US. |

As soon as you can pay with Bitcoin in the same places you can pay with VISA, the demand will only increase. And the demand makes up the price. And this is not unlikely, becauise every seller, shop etc only wants to make money. And this money should not go to a bank which charges them a certain percentage of fees. They'll prefer to ignore this fees and use Bitcoin instead. |

In my place, not many people know what it is, bitcoin.
I think it's a very good situation, because i'm a lucky person who knows about bitcoin faster.
And when everyone knows about bitcoin, of course i'm already rich with higher bitcoin prices.

The bitcoin is not yet popular in some other countries. There is only very few stores that accepting bitcoin as daily payment. So I can say that we need to share our knowledge about bitcoin to other people for them to become aware. |

Done what? If you tried to reply to the former comment, then I think we should agree with him. He is right that we are lucky ones who have came across this latest technology after few years of its creation. Bitcoins are definitely going to rule the world and it would be really hard to buy bitcoins after a decade. |

Until now most of the people in the whole world don't know what bitcoin is, that's the truth. Though, bitcoin is already popular all over the world. But still in each nation there are few bitcoin enthusiast you will encounter. So, for me it is a good thing that we are few bitcoin community for now, because once it become world currency, can you imagine this forum will be crowded. |

Is a fact that large percentage of the world population barely know or have heard about btc talk more of other promising crytos. Imagine where the awareness become known & governments, corporations & other groups begin to demand for it in exchange for goods & services.
People who don't know your story now, would think you did some kind of shady deals when you start swimming in mega cash, & it is very possible in the very near future.

If the current population of bitcoin users is still relatively small due to the lack of socialization from various parties to them about bitcoin in this case the government may have an important role in doing such socialization.
Certainly with the increasing state of declaring the legality of bitcoin is a wonderful opportunity to increase the popularity of bitcoin.
But it seems that a high bitcoin price rise is able to attract all parties to engage in bitcoin and that allows the bitcoin progress to increase over time.

But still in each nation there are few bitcoin enthusiast you will encounter. So, for me it is a good thing that we are few bitcoin community for now, because once it become world currency, can you imagine this forum will be crowded. Exactly I felt it same. There are is short-numbered community in every nation that know about bitcoins. It is also a general perspective that only business related folks will be knowing it about more if they would in future. Majority of people are just unaware of it as it is now in growing stage. Time it takes, but it will be so famous in coming years, you will see. |

Although it makes me wonder since them advertising bitcoin could be achieved way sooner how come the media didn't make it mainstream, it seems to me they're threatened by bitcoin or else somethings stopping it from gaining further popularity. |

I don't think mainstream media knows much about it anyways and probably they think that i won't get mucb attention if they broadcast it. Bitcoin is being spread mostly through people having success from it. People will believe it more ifnit comes from people whi have experienced it already, made money, and sometimes have gotten rich from crypto. |

Yeah that's true some people in our community didnt know what is this because the other people who didnt know this is may have some reason like they are no free time to find out what it is because they think really, it's just waste of his/her time. But if you want to share your know about this your experiences share it to your friend? family relatives or friend of your friends  . So they can be inspired by what you've come up with since you invest in bitcoin. |

Yeah that's true some people in our community didnt know what is this because the other people who didnt know this is may have some reason like they are no free time to find out what it is because they think really, it's just waste of his/her time. But if you want to share your know about this your experiences share it to your friend? family relatives or friend of your friends . So they can be inspired by what you've come up with since you invest in bitcoin. It is really true that majority of the people nowadays don't know bitcoin yet.
