But then I realized CNX had its own chain. So the CNX token is completely different than the actual CNX coin? If so, why did they exist to begin with? So in other words, you'd buy 5000 CNX, and it would know to give you a bonus of 1000?

Either way, I'm happy that these bonus tokens are going to be redeemable. Definitely holding onto them, as this seems like a very promising project.

I'd rather CNX avoid spamming our MEW with tokens like many others. Gives a bad impression on the name itself, no different to junk mails in our letter boxes. An opt-in option is preferred.
