My biggest regret in alt coins is when I'm seeing the price of ETH at $20-$25 but I did nothing even buying one of it. And right now we can see on how much the price of ETH and I did really regret for not buying that before. This is one of my biggest regret in terms of alt cryptocurrencies.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Regrets are the luxury of those who do not trade. If you want to be a businessman, and you want to make money, and you want to be a Trader, then it's time to let go of regrets. There will be prophets and there will be losses, and there will be learning experiences. Regrets those do not exist anymore Jedi.

I saw neo at around $5 to $6 and thought that was too expensive so diversified and split my buyings into waves and neo. Waves has flatlined while neo has shot up. Wish I'd just gone all in with neo, my big regret for losses however is digibyte at around 600 sats, now half that value Undecided

Regrets are a waste of time and emotions. It's always easy to look back and think "what if". Hindsight cannot be used to gauge if one made a good investment or bad choice. And I don't think the pizza guy made a mistake, In fact those who spent and traded their coins in the early days, helped make bitcoin what it is today.

Hindsight is 20/20; it's true. When it comes to altcoins, once I sell, I don't look at the chart for a while. Sometimes it just hurts too much otherwise. Tongue I'm pretty risk averse, and I'm really protective of my bitcoin gains, so I tend to take profit a bit earlier than I should on alts. But I don't kick myself. Profit is profit, and I'm a bitcoiner, so I count my profits in BTC.

As for the OP? I had a huge stash of XRP a few years ago -- bigger than I want to mention -- and of course I sold it for a pittance. C'est la vie! Smiley

Picking up 25 ETH for $12 USD each and panic selling at $9 USD. I was new to crypto and couldn't stomach the volatility. I have much more intestinal fortitude now, I've held through all of the dips and mini crashes since.

I have to say I regret selling all my NEO at .00500k thinking that's where it will stop rising. In the meantime, I'm patiently waiting for the next action to regret 1 week later  Grin

I spotted NEO early as a potential investment - I have a political economy background, all my investments are based around how cosy coins are with powerful governments, because in this market they are the coins who will still be around when crypto goes mainstream.

I wanted to go all in with NEO around $6 a coin but decided to go 50% only and diversify the rest. I'm booming with NEO but stagnating with the rest... Viacoin, Waves, XRP, Verge and Aragon being the most disappointing!

Such is life for traders. Profit is profit; it's important to remember that. Traders need to preserve capital and lock in gains. If not, you aren't a trader, but rather, a gambler. Tongue

Regarding the OP, my biggest regret is that I always immediately dumped giveaway/airdrop coins. If I had held for a year or more for the crypto bubble, I'd be much richer right now...

I just focus first on 1 Altcoin.
maybe my regret will start if i didn't choose a good altcoin .
because i'm just learning first . maybe i'll learn from my mistake.

I had 21 ETH that I had bought when it was about $7. When the price went up to $50 and held there for a while I doubted it would surge much more so I sold all 21. If only I had known the value of HODL...

I also had a ton of $4 LTC at one time and shifted it all back into BTC because I didn't think it would ever go over $5.

I know these aren't "Bitcoin Pizza" size mistakes, but it still sucks looking back. That's a few extra grand I could have had to gamble away on Bittrex Wink
These kind of mistakes are common on most traders which we would able to sell out a particular coin on a certain price because we do believe that its already the peak price of it without knowing that it would still pump or increase even further on a matter of time.Yes this kind of situation would really make regrets if we tend to look it back this is why its not really good to see those mistakes and rather just do the right thing already for the 2nd time now.

I never regret selling my crypto holdings now worth thousands of dollars. Basically it was a learning experience for me.

Haha, I also do the same thing with you, but the difference I feel "somewhat" regret. But for what is regretted, let us make a better future.

After investing in a handful of alt coins at a low price and waiting for them to pick up, the prices crashed even further, and remained low for a week or so. So I decided to sell them before they crashed any further and took a loss. A few days later they soared and I missed out on some nice profits. They say that patience is a virtue !!

Oh, look a thread for me!
I bought ANS at $6.3 and $9.1, sold at $8 after they half-assedly rebranded on 24 July (?).
I bought OMG at $0.8 and sold at $0.9.
I bought CVC at $0.2 and sold for same price.
I bought CMPCO at 10 sat on Coinexchange and panic sold at 11 sat, now it's 70 sat
There's probably a few more I can't remember right now.

First of all, you have sold with profit, even with a minimum one. Secondly, you have gained some experience and now you know that in most cases it is better to hold, there is no need to panic. You did not lose any money actually, and now with these things in mind you should be more successful. We are still in early days in my opinion, so there will be loads of other chances for you.
I do not want even to say how much I "lost" like you did, definitely more than $500k, so you should forget about it and move on.

Yep I agree, if you're going to regret making mistakes and not learning from them, don't trade.

I remember the early days when Zetacoin was about. I put a stupidly low bid in that just sat there, then one day it went through. Awesome, I just got 300k Zetacoin, worth nothing but then they started moving up $2k... Ok it's a pretty poor coin at $2k let's sell em all. If I'd waited 2-3 more days they'd have been worth $30-40k. Lesson learnt don't sell everything!

Do I regret it? No, I learnt from it and now understand the risks and the sensible ways to trade better.

I don't think anybody who trades is 100% successful 100% of the time. It's what you do when you fail that counts.

At the moment, SIA is my biggest loss... But just for now, sure it will go up again... Smiley ...but I definately closed my eyes and missed that selling point..
It was also a big lost for me. I have bought a lot of SIA coin before at a high price due to a recommendation of someone in the internet world. The first coin that I have bought. I wish it will pump sooner. I will just hold for a long time.
