Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable?

I think trading altcoin is more profitable if you know what you are doing .I personally trade altcoins and at the moment i am all in altcoins just few btc.

It depends on how well you do with altcoin trading. If you know what you are doing and you get lucky sometimes, you could make some good profits with trading.

You can also probably do fine if you just buy and hold Bitcoins. Its also a lot easier to just hold because trading is a lot of work if you do all the research and follow the charts every day.

Yeah, it is kind of a shame that bitcoin has not gained wide adoption yet but at the same time bitcoin is not ready, people have been arguing about the best to way to scale bitcoin and we finally adopted a solution segwit, so I think the next decade in the life of bitcoin will be one of huge adoption.

Holding bitcoin being expected by the every people from the scratch level of price but when seeing price now I am think that I may have s millionaire and more. Instead of trading altcoin you will be able to mine any digital currency. In recent days mining altcoin like LTC, eth, monero and zcash become very popular and being used in everywhere.

If Bitcoin has problems, we will SegWit, HardFork, split chain ... and this scenario always repeat make me do not know when is time for Bitcoin improved all!? But I'm trader, so I think do not need care to this issue many much, unless when I hold my Bitcoin for long term, I will consider that.

it all depends on the market situation, sometimes altcoin trading is more profitable because the movement is faster, or bitcoin is more profitable because suddenly the price goes up.

You can earn on bitcoin violation, 5.000$ then 3.800$, back to 4700$ then down again
 You do the math here, but if you trade with bitcoin higher chances are for making profit from violations. Altcoins don't have so wide range between lowest and highest daily or weekly price.
I'm holding some altcoins and I will sell when I'm in my expected profit. I also hold bitcoins so logical question is why to not do both and make profit in both ways, all tho it's not easy. Some altcoins that I hold are quiet this days, bitcoin is going down. But that will change, that's why I'm holding for long term.

Trading requires skills, experience and patience. It has nothing to do with luck. If one can do it, you can also do it. For a newbie, it is better to invest a little to gain required knowledge. Both are beneficial in lone terms and I suggest buying bitcoins with trading profits and then do bitcoin trading also.

As an investor those things do really tires me out because even im an active trader i do still have some bitcoins who are really being kept for future purposes and when i saw dips it does really sucks this is why i just let it be.Now on my traders side same as yours i dont really care at all on those events since i do make active trades which everytime theres a news i do somehow anticipated on which where bitcoins prices would go on those times.

Yeah, and I often see the market situation always pumping the price of altcoin more than pumping the price of bitcoin. So I think about profit, altcoin trading is still better than holding bitcoin even though it is risky but we can still hold and wait for the next pump, especially for people with small capital, altcoin trading is still a good choice because strong pumping occurs frequently, they can double or triple the capital in short term. Holding bitcoin can not do that in the short term, and the price of bitcoin has been high, we will need to hold more bitcoin if we want to make a big profit, this is very difficult for anyone with small capital

Ya accept your point. We must do something to earn the money. Either it may be the trading of bitcoin or altcoin or saving of both altcoin and bitcoin. If you trade altcoin means it will give you low amount, but holding of bitcoin for certain period of time, it will give you huge profit. So use the second opinion to get more income.

If you want to earn big profit you need to invest in bitcoin and also altcoins. Because if you steady only to one you dont have support what if bitcoin rpice decrease your money also decrease. Why not trying both of these? You just have to diversify your funds and decide what amount will you put in Bitcoins and how much in altcoin trading. When handling in right manner and choosing right altcoins this could be very profitable combination. My preference is Bitcoin so I would put more money in that.

They are both different but they have the common thing that they will give you and that is profit. If you want a safer way and a less riskier way to make money then just hold your bitcoin for long term because that is how you are going to be safe but if you want to take risk and earn money then go for trading altcoins because they are still worth  it even it is a risky way.

It is really hard to choose between the two because both of them are extremely profitable. I invested my money both in altcoins and bitcoins. Bitoins nowadays are full of potential and also most of the altcoins are really profitable. I prefer to you to divide your fund in bitcoins and altcoins.
