    ETHLend update 2019

Hello all! From the ETHLend/Aave team we would like to update the post so everyone is up to date about what happened during all this time related with our project.
ETHLend rebranded to Aave in September 2018 as we released new products to complement the whole lending experience and also we added Bitcoin interoperability to ETHLend platform in beginnings of 2018 so we required a new name to englobe all this new ecosystem incoming.

    Check our site at:
    https://aave.com

If you want to know about the highlighted news over this time check “Top news historic” section. Also below you have the information about Aave/ETHLend products:

    ETHLend

ETHLend is a decentralised peer to peer lending platform that allows people all over the world to get a loan or become a lender. As a decentralised platform, using the Blockchain technology we enable you to get or fund a loan within minutes in a secure way.

Since the first release lot of features were added as the addition of Bitcoin as collateral, crowdlending, partial collateral call, new currencies as for example stable coins, more than 150+ ERC20 collaterals and much more (check the news historic).

You can access and use the Dapp at:
    https://ethlend.io

    Aave Pay

Aave Pay is a service that allows European users to pay in FIAT (Euro currently) using their preferred cryptocurrency (LEND, DAI, BTC, ETH, ADA, LTC, BCH, XLM, XRP, USDT, KCS and BNB currently available). With this service users will be able to take a loan in ETHLend and directly send to their bank account or directly cash out your crypto without a complex process, just sending a transaction.

Having stable coins as DAI and USDT 1:1 ratio with USD, you can try it out at:
    https://pay.aave.com

    Aave Decentralized Lending Pools (DLPs)

Aave Decentralized Lending Pools are a new improved lending model to complement the P2P model of ETHLend. In this new Lending model users will be able to become lender and borrower just depositing their assets in their pools and getting passive income from their holdings, allowing also to borrow using them as collateral.

Our DLPs will have new features and improvements in comparison with similar lending models as would be swapping between fixed and variable rate at any time as borrower and offering an open source protocol, allowing anyone to build on top of the DLPs and use the service through our client, API our directly using the ABI of the smart contracts. There are more features to be disclosured, currently our DLPs are in testnet, here the latest information:
    DLPs Blog Post

    LEND Token

Our token is currently being used in our products having different benefits. You can check the information here:
    LEND Token

In our incoming Decentralized Lending Pools the token will have core/key features and utility. The token will be required to participate in the DLPs in different roles, it will allow users to deposit the token in the pools to get passive income acting as lender, it will be burnt based on the fees gathered in the protocol and will be used by the token holders to vote on the decisions to be taken in the protocol as for example addition of new features. The token will be swapped to adapt it to the new products and add new functionalities. We will notify when the process and details about this process are clear.

Hi, general price is 1 ETH =25 000 LEND, however pre-sale 20% price reduction (bonus tokens)

On official sale first 200 mill, 10 % bonus tokens and next 100 mill 5 % bonus tokens. The prices are on the opening thread.

I couldn't find the answer or I missed it. If borrower defaults loaned amount what will happen?

Who will pay to the lender in case of borrower defaults? Because you guys said that no collaterals then how the lender will recover his money?

If you guys protect lender money then only this business can be successful otherwise I don't think it will be a successful business.

How the borrower start a lend? using the ETHLend Tokens or other altcoin as collateral?

You can use any ERC-20 compatible tokens (EOS, DigixDAO, ICONOMI etc.) or any ENS domain.

    Here is good instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb6fzGXADho&list=PLf4N4wF5YKdoJDIe2D_Cg4cXWa-ruMpV5

Make sure to have MetaMask installend and switched to Ethereum Main-net  Smiley

You can also fool around at http://test.ethlend.io (Kovan network), but you need to switch to Kovan from MetaMask and have Kovan Ether (ask from: https://gitter.im/kovan-testnet/Lobby?at=590811ea12d2409935b9919d) and you can create test ERC-20 compatible tokens at: https://tokenfactory.surge.sh/#/factory

    Have fun Smiley

I couldn't find the answer or I missed it. If borrower defaults loaned amount what will happen?

Who will pay to the lender in case of borrower defaults? Because you guys said that no collaterals then how the lender will recover his money?

If you guys protect lender money then only this business can be successful otherwise I don't think it will be a successful business.

Lending is based on 1. Collaterals: such as ERC-20 compatible tokens (any token) or ENS domains (any domain) or 2. Reputation based lending: when the borrower has repaid collateral based lending, the borrower gains reputation to borrow to a certain (with certain limitations) amount of ETH without a collateral (trusted borrowers).

In addition, ETHLend is planning to introduce a decentralized credit rating system, where centralized credit data feeds can be implemented by the use of Oracles. Moreover, there will be other risk assessment tools such as using AI and machine learning to assess Credit Risk or Prediction Market to help credit risk assessment for the borrower.

On risk sharing, there will be introduced crowdlending to share risk and a protocol to provide third party decentralized insurance policies or guarantors. The White Paper is quite detailed on the credit risk and risk sharing mechanisms.

So yes, in your definition, it will be a success.

We do not want to rush. It is important that the token sale participants understands well the project and the detailed white paper (which is over 55 pages). Our aim is to attract the future users of the DApp and participants who share the long term goals that we at ETHLend possess, rather than attracting short term coin speculation goals. That is the reason that LEND entitles 25% discount on fees on the DApp compared when paying in ETH.

Stani Kulechov - Founder of ETHLend.

New Loan Request on ETHLend: 2 ETH (USD 579.40) loan (Collateral: 1000 Ethereum Movie Venture token, total worth USD 749.28, Collateral ratio to loan: 129,32%). Loan period 30 days, Interest 0.02 ETH (USD 5.791)

Analysis: Collateral is sufficient, loan is secure. The interest is humble in percentage (1%, however Annualized Return (ROI) is excellent: 12.87%). Our recommendation is to fund.

Loan on Dapp (Use MetaMask Google Add-On and Switch to Ethereum mainnet):

Loan on the ledger (Token Transfers tab confirms that the collateral is in place and I checked that the collateral token smart contract address is correct):

WEEKLY TOKEN SALE UPDATE – WEEK 32

    ETHLend Bounty Program

This week ETHLend started its Bounty Program. The goal is to increase participation among our community and give our supporters a chance to be part of the ETHLend project.

You can check the details on our BitcoinTalk forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2078686.0;all

    Introduction to Market Pegged Assets

ETHLend has introduced the idea of pegging digital collateral used in Smart Contract loans to the price of USD. This way borrowers and lenders don’t need to be subject to price volatility. Also this reduces risk for unintentional defaults.

You can read more about it here: https://about.ethlend.io/2017/08/13/how-does-the-usd-pegged-loan-work-at-ethlend/

    Jaarvis Accelerator Hackathon

EthLend’s Local Advisor in India, Opinder Singh, joined the Jaarvis hackathon, where people are exploring blockchain technology and its use cases.
