Concerning p2pool I have updated some setting in github to reduce orphan between nodes : https://github.com/hakabane/p2pool-altcoins.git

I have relocated http://pool.bounceme.net:24397 to http://pool.bounceme.net:25397 with this new code, also switched it to the netherland server and added 1% fee.

To make it clear for the pool list :
Add:
http://pool.bounceme.net:25397 - akabane | 1% | Amsterdam, Netherlands (LeaseWeb)

Remove:
http://95.211.25.2:24397 - akabane | 0% | Amsterdam, Netherlands (LeaseWeb)
http://pool.bounceme.net:24397 - akabane | 0% | Paris, France (OVH)

What is the difference between pushpool and p2pool?
At Pushpool you have to register. Than your mined coins will go to your account at the pool. From there you can request a payout to your Wallet. With P2Pool you don't have to register. Just point at the Pool URL with your Digitalcoin Address as your username and a random passwort. The Coins will go directly into your wallet right after the block is found.

You can try with my P2Pool http://www.crypto-coins.de:8907

Try with these cgminer settings:

Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -u <your_wallett_adress> -p <random_passwort> -u crypto-coins.de:8907

It will last a few minute until your first income arrives, and payout will be low for the first blocks but rises the longer you mine to this pool (thats normal for P2Pool)

My first income from you arrived the same day DGC was launched and it flows till now Wink (DNKD9wm4RPaoz9u3JLMUc3mZrGXVyeUFm5)

Well that was the obvious difference for me. I meant if there is any difference in communication between miner and pool or in technology used.

The p2pools have some advantages, no account registration is necessary. More than one server may be set up, and work together. In the previouse case, you may try with the following commands:

cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8119 -u yourDGCaddress -p . --queue 0 -s 1

or

cgminer --scrypt -o pool.1nusa.org:8119 -u yourDGCaddress -p . --queue 0 -s 1

These two pools work together and use a PPLNS window of only one hour. So you will get the expected payout after only a few blocks. This is great!

Lots of relatively big buy orders on Cryptsy near current exchange rate and a small volume of sell orders - by volume buy orders are certainly outweighing sell orders. Not that cryptsy is everything but it is looking good for DGC!

If the p2pools have not exactly the same parameters, PPLNS windows, server identifiers, etc... that will not work properly..

Finding a good pool is not so easy.

For anyone mining at http://digitalcoin.scryptmining.com you may notice some oddness around payouts for blocks 42218 and 42231.  I am testing a new system that sends all donation % revenue directly to DGC development fund.  As a result payouts and fees for these 2 blocks were calculated incorrectly.  I manually paid out for both blocks after the fact, resulting in minimum x2 rewards for the first, and up to +5 DGC for the second. (Hopefully I don't go broke! Smiley  ).  All details are in your Transaction History as usual.

Hope to have the donation % to dev enabled very soon!

Thanks for the continued support.
