So in my Windows QT wallet I now see a bunch of "Staked" instead of "Masternode Reward" - is this the new terminology being used?

Masternode rewards can stake and even though very small amounts they do not stake often but they do stake.

Looks like I had botched the upgrade. I think I have fixed it now..

The Masternodes once all the stakers upgrade to the new wallet will increase a bit more but looks like we are also growing in the number of masternodes.
Once we move onto a fully fixed PoSv3 or another algo that is more stable and even go full PoW if we need to to protect the chain,...
Then the Masternodes rewards will be where they should be. At that time expect an increase of near 1000%

I have nodes in various locations around the world, one of the countries we are trying to get big in is china, which has a firewall to keep information locked down by the government. My main node inside china currently has 60 connections to the KORE network.

Coins are still in your wallet, every coin that uses PoSv3 has this issue, we have four fixes we are working on for this, the first one to work correctly will be released.

Your mining issue is a known issue that we are working on, should be patched fairly soon, but if your wallet is unlocked your coins will stake.

Do your Due Diligence/Research which you clearly have not.
If you had taken the time to read up the post of the new wallet release
your concerns are addressed there.
Nobody is forcing you to buy or get involved.
I wonder why people like this buy then trash the coin they buy.

Investments are risky, because the project has small difficulties, as you say characteristic for all coins POS 3.0. but I'm sure that you will correct everything.
