Took a little longer than expected, for that I apologize, I wanted to make this as simple as physically possible and while thinking about it I realized i was thinking about it all wrong. Here is the updated masternode update walkthrough.

Please make sure you have up-to-date dependencies.

To begin please shut down kored

Open your configuration file:

and remove all the nodes, replacing them with these;

and exit Nano

Now delete your old KORE files

rm -rf ~/kore

Now clone the latest kore git

git clone https://github.com/Kore-Core/kore.git

now compile KORE

cd kore && ./autogen.sh && ./configure && sudo make install

now you should be able to start kore masternode back up, while keeping your old onion address.

Please keep in mind KORE is the only coin that actually offers any community support and allows for ease of access to information and scripts to make your masternode experience as simple as possible, sometimes to do this requires a bit more thought and work and thus sometimes takes a bit longer than expected.
