I use a wallet forknote along with the conf file, but there is a daemon problem .. it is not recognized by the api ..
It will not be recognised. Our code is based on Forknote and Bytecoin, but there are a few significant changes. Even if you get it to work with the Forknote wallet, it might cause problems later on (disconnects, not reading correctly etc...). Please give us a few days to release the mining pool version of the wallet and the daemon. You'll be the first to know when it's ready . Thank you for your patience and your interest in Croat!

It's a little bit more than 24 hours. Unfortunately, some very bad things happened here in Barcelona as you may have found out if you watch the news, so we could only promote it locally when we launched it. We decided to wait a few days to make the international announcement, out of respect for all the people that suffered and because it wasn't the right time... This gave a bit of an advantage to local people here in Catalonia, it's true, but this goes in line with our goals and also, it's still very early, so if you get on board now the difficulty is still low.

0.00001 CROAT is mentioned as minimum fee, but the lowest fee available right now is 0.05, anything less than that and it gets reverted back straight away.

Hi! Thanks for letting us know! There was a small bug in the fee field of the GUI, that didn't allow the user to decrease the fee amount below 0.05. Now it's fixed. Please download the new version from our website. Thank you!

Maybe I somewhere missed the information, the preliminary mining was? In the explorer block is written Supply: 16000284.80 CROAT Emission: 16.0003% 15% turns out to have been mined by the developers, there will be bounties or whatever plans you have for these coins.

As we've stated before, in the announcement, on our website, in our press release etc, all of the pre-mined Croats will only be destined to ensure the continuous development of the coin, to fund special actions consistent with our philosophy, and to help those in need. We have already started by donating wallets with Croats to various foundations and organizations that fulfill these criteria. We will continue to do so, and, for those which accept this, we will publicize these donations on our website and on our social channels. Stay tuned to find out about our plans, some of them are really big! We cannot emphasize enough that our priority is the Catalan people. Please read all the info on our website so you can understand our phylosophy and our goals. Thank you!

Where is mining pool ?
We are preparing a wallet version specially built for pool mining and will make it available as soon as we can, even if pools are not our main priority right now. We want to encourage solo mining and we want this coin to be adopted by regular people, including those who haven't had contact with crypto coins until now. Professional miners are welcome to join, of course, but the most part of our time and efforts won't be directed to them. Our vision for Croat is less as a business and more as a platform to help our people. Can it become a great business? Without any doubt! But we want that to be a consequence mainly of its success and its adoption by the common Catalan people, not so much of a big community of international "professional" miners. It may be a little bit different from what most of you are used to seeing here. It may mean a slower development at the beginning. But for us it will mean that our project is successful and our goals are met. We want Croat to be THE CATALAN ALTCOIN. Thank you for understanding and for helping us give Catalonia international visibility through its altcoin!

Its very unclear because you send mixed messages... First you publish here on a International forum about a local coin where local people mined the first 8k blocks ( at least ) but then you have an English website after you said that your aim is to be a local altcoin... Well i cant understand what you want so until you decide ill stay out of it...

Well i cant understand what you want so until you decide ill stay out of it... First of all, a couple of clarifications: As stated previously, we have a multilingual website. English is just one of them. You may see the English version directly because of your ip, but if you look, you'll see that the Catalan language is the default and we also have a Spanish version. Second, at the time we made the announcement here, only 6000 blocks had been mined by locals (which is not so much if you look at our stats now). There's actually a reply about that at the beginning of the thread. We explained in a previous post the reason for the delayed announcement here. It wasn't the right moment to make a big fuss when people were dying and suffering. We hope anyone can understand that. Now, about the rest of your message: Although we cannot stress enough that our priority are and always will be our people, there are several reasons to publish this internationally: - First of all, exposure. Many Catalans and Spanish people are on this forum, since it's practically the most important one at this time in cryptocurrencies. So, some of the locals found out about Croat here simply because they are daily readers. Also, there is a big community of Catalans living abroad all over the world, and it's more probable for them to find out about Croat from international sources. - We do welcome non-catalans to join our community! And there already are quite a few of them. By all means, as we stated in our announcement, non-Catalans may want to take part for several reasons: sympathy for the Catalan people, our identity and culture, or because they see the potential to earn money out of this project. Any of these reasons is valid and we have no problem with it. What we are trying to make clear is that, although very welcome, the international community is not our immediate priority in terms of "marketing", time spent, effort etc, because we created this coin with different goals. This doesn't mean that we won't take care of all our users. It just means that at this moment international professional miners that only want to make quick money without caring for the cause, are not our target. When enough Catalans have joined, then it will be the moment to promote our coin internationally. Does it make sense? - Another reason is that all this helps us give Catalonia international exposure. We want people to be curious about us, come visit us, learn about our culture, traditions, history, language etc. Croat is a Catalan product. And we couldn't be more proud to see it succeed and helping our people. We would love it you reconsidered your decision of staying out. Why? Because Croat is different. It's a coin with an identity, an ideology, a history, a whole people behind who want it and will sustain it. We won't get into more detail here, but if you're indeed curious, just do a quick Google search on the current affairs in Catalonia these past years. Then, you'll understand why it has a huge chance of success. Another reason: it's not some scam to make quick and easy money. The easy way would be to allow huge professional miners to "pump" our stats, to get the coin to have any value, dump whatever we have and forget about it. Instead, we prefer to wait and work slowly towards building a strong real altcoin. And to have to give explanations like this one (which we don't mind at all, don't worry). Another reason: the social involvement. If you take the time to read our press release, you'll find how we plan to use the pre-mined funds. We have already started and we'll make things public when the right time comes. We have really big plans for using Croat to directly help the people and we have no doubt that the community will love them. Maybe, who knows, after reading all this and doing some research of your own, you'll find that you will indeed want to join, but not so much because of the business part, but because you found that we have a really nice cause here If, for any reason, you decide to stay out, no worries. We're still grateful for anyone who takes the time to at least consider our project, Croat! Thank you!

We're still grateful for anyone who takes the time to at least consider our project, Croat! Thank you! Well the reason i looked for this project in the first place was because im Portuguese, i know very well the area and would like to support something like this... But then i check and see 6k or 8k blocks mined ( not really important the actual number )... I also know the news and i saw what happen that day in Barcelona, but i cant agree that you justify that premine based on not announcing it here thanks to what happen there... If that was a real concern ( and i do agree it was a very tragic event ) maybe you should have delayed the launch of the coin in order to make it really fair and not just to a group of friends you know mining it... ( if not a group of friends can you then post a snapshot of the wallets mining before the release here? ) Besides this points i just refered too i also wished this was a real project with real people behind it, because has i mentioned above, my self interest is due to us beeing next to eachother and i do travel a lot there...

Just saw your twitter. Too many politics. I'm afraid you don't get the point about cryptos - they won't help you promote your region. You won't either find too many users outside catalonia by your motto "it's a catalan coin made for catalan people".
Nice marketing, though. Its logo is really nice looking.
