Definitely no, If you do see on the speculated amount its somehow impossible to reach out that price range in a matter of 3 years as of now. $500k is too much and its hard to achieve and the marketcap would really be huge if that would happen and i do see its really an unrealistic thing to consider.And im little bit excited on how mccafee would eat his d*ck in front of the public if the price didnt reach on the amount he said. haha

Wow no, i dont think it can get that price in only two years, that is impossible.
Bitcoin has been quadruplicated in less than a year, so it has to be more than 1000x to get to that price.
There is not even enought volume to make it happen, so no, it can not.

I appreciate his optimism but i don't think it is going to happen.

Honestly, if would shock everyone, even the biggest bitcoin fans if it happened.

He actually made the prediction when the price of bitcoin was steadily rising on a day to day basis, and i think that's what has mostly influenced him to say such an outrageous thing. Obviously, he did not consider that growth will ultimately slow down. There is nothing on this world that can sustain 10% per day gains, without correcting itself in a major way. I see a major correction happening next year, which will slow us down quite a bit.

People estimate there are on the order of 10 million people with bitcoin now. So if we get over 1 billion people with bitcoin that could put btc in range of $500k. Is bitcoin gonna pass a billion people adoption in 3 years, I don't think so.

Noone should pump bitcoin with huge amount of money , it will increasing so high anyway.
If you really don't believe on what the master of programmer predicts , then just hold a little bitcoin for at least the next 3 years.

First of all, bitcoin doesn't need any big companies to make it famous. It is decentralized, and by definition it does not need a central entity to promote nor sustain it for it to survive and thrive. Yes it would be good to have some big companies to back btc but it's not necessary.

Second, $500k is indeed just a number. Fiat is going to inflate in the long run and bitcoin is not inflationary. That means that intrinsically bitcoin is only going to go up in fiat value as time goes on, and mass adoption takes place.

However, John Mcafee seems to think that mass adoption can happen within just 3 years. I don't think this is likely.
