It's sad that in the course of 2017 many projects that went to the ICO, collected investments, and then disappeared with the money of investors with impunity, felt this gold mine, and I am sure that the founders of those projects are just stamping new projects with packs. Therefore, if we take the ratio of honest projects to dishonest, then it is the same as in 2017, but only the number of projects has increased at times. And now we need to rake it all. Therefore, the choice of the project for investment should be approached very carefully.

Of course one of the best ICOs (it will endure any regulations) is a Sparkster ICO, they actually provide those blockchain techs to everybody

Icos are still being profitable at the moment if you are looking to invest, otherwise just look for other kind of projects that are already stablished on the market right now

I think ICO for the year 2018 will be successful and also increase dramatically, this shows that fans of crypto currency in the year is on the rise. Because the development of technology in the world of crypto more rapid and profitable.

I'd like to go back to 2017, when every shit multiplied more than X10. Now a lot of scams that collect money and throw investors! There are good projects, but they must be sought!

I think that typical ICO is old-fashioned. I believe in private sales. Also a lot of ico earns millions dollars and they don't need them. So when they go to exchange most people sell their tokens. I think that usual ICO will die soon)

The bubble could not stop to the investors to engage in crypto currency since the ICO or pre sale investors have the assurance of making money when the tokens will get listed on the market and sale it at early stage as long as the price is above ICO. This is already a profit.

As we see, the year 2017 turned out to be very rich in new projects, so you can rest assured that in 2018 their number will grow by an order of magnitude.

All I know as of now the ICO's in 2018 are Indigen coin and Yolo coin. These two ICO's was build by Filipinos. According to my observations, Indigen is leading among the ICO's that are existing today.

I dont know man, but there are hundreeds of ICO's created every month, i am gettin tired of it. By the way, i still believe in some of them, for example UmbrellaCoin seems like a good promising Ico, same with SnapUp.
Waves was a good ico and is one of the best of them, because it is still alive.
But most of icos are created to make their owners rich.

You're definitely right. We are always following and reading all the titles of projects and ICOs. Days are passing by pondering about them.
There had been lots of ICOs fo a while but just a few of them achieved real success and permanency.
But as you told, most of them just interested in investment total just for their pocket.
I also feel tired sometimes of the ICO project, especially when I see that the tokens I have won have dropped their price in some exchanges although the projects I joined are good but in the exchange they fail or they need a good time for the Token get its price and value because of the hard work the developers have invested and we as the community that supports them. We must also be patient and have a look at Roadmap and check that the projects are in progress.

Any idea how many new ICO's will be launched in 2018.What will be the future of new projects.
As we can in 2017 It's like a bubble everyday new ICO's with few pages whitepaper, just a business plan no founder details,no physical address.
In order for us to have an idea of how many ICOs are going to be launched next year we will need to have a regulatory body that oversees the activities of ICOs and that is never going to happen, the only other way could be to calculate at the end of the year how many ICOs were created in this year and then with that information to try to predict how much more ICOs will be created
I agree with your thinking but I also think that there may be some entity that is dedicated to monitoring the creation of the ICO and its progress. Let's keep faith we are at the starting point and everything that starts needs to develop.

Just as there are several ICO rating specialist platforms, there will be some plataforms dedicated to collecting information about ICO and bringing us the annual reports and their progress if it is not soon to happen.
Thank you for creating this thread and the contributions of the members.

It becomes harder and harder to find trustworthy ICO, cause 95% of them are the real scammers. Every time when I go to the listing websites, I see the hords of the similar ICOs with the similar names Angry. In January I found one project - Cryptics. They at least have interesting idea, useful for traders. This is the forecasting platform which does use 100% self-learning AI. Now it's available to try their Alpha MVP for free testing period. They make daily, hourly and 4-hourly forecasts for 18 crypto currencies, 4 exchanges and for the market. Actually, they are going to combine 4 modules: forecasts, trading, investments in the funds and the integration with the research and academic community. In September they are going to lauch their trading bot.

Well I think this year might be a very difficult year for ICOs. Along with all the problems, risks investment in ICOs had, there are newer risks now. All the cryptocurrency/ICO projects ad bans by google were a pretty bad news for the upcoming ICOs as they might have a hard time gaining popularity without those ads.

ICO has only just begun. It is a new financing method. If it is properly supervised, if it can effectively eliminate those scams, I think ICO will have a very big development.

Reading this in 2018, I'm starting to realize how much you're right) in fact, a huge number of ICO projects are pacifiers that are hardly worth anything. But among this pile there are units that can really help in many areas.
