Just ordered one board in Norway, and payed for it directly in the shop... delivery time unknown. What does it mean... they are writing in the add the release date is unknown... I thought that board was already released... or is it because this will be (the new?) version 2, as mentioned in the add...?
They are out of stock and is waiting for a new shipment.

I'm having an impossible time getting unbuntu on mine. What did you do? i get i386 error
I can't speak to 16.04, but XUbuntu 14.04 was no problem at all - just "dd cloned" one of my existing Nvidia-based systems and away it went (once I got the hardware installation "oops, what did I forget" issue worked out).

This is forum, so we are here to disscus not to point links to manual.
Because we all know what manual says, but we also know that some people having trouble to boot with the amount of cards that have been stated as working examples.

In another thread of this forum, someone said that they have 12x1070ti working with the latest (1001) BIOS version. And Windows supposedly allows for more than 8 cards from the same vendor in the latest update. So...

Just got my asus mining expert today. Pretty sweet board for only $160. Was wondering if the following combination of GPUS would work on this board:
3 GTX 1060s 1 1080ti 6 RX 470s 3 RX Vegas Total GPUs: 13
Basically a mixed rig with both AMD and NVIDIA cards.

is there any place you know where this motherboard is available now ? I've been checking on all major shops and they're all out of stock. This Asus model is really attractive, it gives much more space to the pcie slots, with my current mb it's really difficult to put all risers next to each other due to the lack of space.
For those who already have it, do you measure performance differences between the different slots available? I have a 13 pcie motherboard and I have 3 underperforming slots.

Klint i don't know where you can find it! I'm using with 13 cards, for now, because it can't works with more than 13 gpu of the same model!!!! However every slot works the same way with the same performance!

If you use risers that have the USB cable come straight out, clearance is not an issue at all. Right-angle risers you have to use in the "closest to the power connection" slots if you are going to use more than one riser per row. or you get cable interference that can make reliable seating of the riser "interface board" problematic. There should be no performance difference between the slots - try swapping your risers around to see if the issue follows the board. I've had issues where a "performance difference" turned out to be a marginal USB cable, and just replacing the cable with a better cable CURED the issue.
