This is official picture from Asus, they don't say anything about P104-100

because there was not a p104-100 at that time.

Guys, this MB will get 6 x P102-100 to 8 cards RX580 and 7 RX470? Or only P106-100 and P104-100?
hey, I'm using 8x RX580 + 11x P104-100 with this motherboard, they run just fine. I'm sure that P102-100 will work too.
basically it supports any count of video accelerators (like NVIDIA P1xx series), but no more than 13 GPUs with video outputs.

most likely this limit is caused by chipset or processor limitations.

Strange.
Using win10 and 13 amd 570 nitro+.

Grt. Im on W10 1709 5x1060 11x1070

What about environment and temperatures of your cards?
Is it possible that hashrate drops because of cards down clocking for some other reason for example not enough voltage /PL limitation or to high temperatures?

No, not like that. I have tried everything. I have given up on this MB a long time ago yet looking for answers all the time. Now that many ppl suggests it could be miner, it is obvious I havent tried everything.

So far a very stable motherboard with 12 cards from RX 580 sapphire nitro plus , some of my colleagues wanted to squeeze the most out of their investment so they opted for this motherboard, I have set it up with 4 cooler master PSU-s 750 watt each powering 3 cards and this motherboard is running stable without a single crash from the moment I have put it up and running in February.

is not windows cause it does not work on linux, chipset or processor wise no, cause even the p104-100 use pcie lanes and work normally, best bet is bios resources, cant fill 19 displays.

There is no need to use more then one display with this MB Smiley

most likely this limit is caused by chipset or processor limitations.
16 PCI (HiIO or something) lanes from the CPU and these are the ones that get mapped to video outputs, if I have guess correctly based on scattered info.

It would be interesting if BIOS modding on GPUs could disable video output (to fool the MoBo BIOS) to allow more cards (on any MoBo).

There is no need  to trick this mobo cause it produced  to work with 19 GPU after all Cheesy
Another question is it wise to use such many cards simultaneously. OS would not be stable, PSU will be very expansive and not stable e.t.c

correction, 13 gpus and 6 crypto cards with no display output, every gpu gives a display output.

Has anyone succeeded with this mobo in Windows with more than 8+ AMD gpus, please let me know what the driver that you are using in Windows. Sorry Im a newbie that i cannot find a way to install Ubuntu with this mobo, maybe because it is using UEFI secured boot, can anyone help ?

I have 9 rx 580 using latest amd driver on compute mode in wattman and 4 1070 getting 30+ MHs per card. The driver asus said to use crashed my computer every time with more than 8 cards. Hours and hours of fun! lol tried several drivers only the latest didn't crash it.

I am planning to buy asus B250 mining expert. I will be running 13 cards in the beginning as per

https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1034921

Asus supports 11*amd + 2 Nvidia

however, I have seen a few comments that it can run 13 AMDs as well.

Is there anybody who is actually successfully running 13 amds only without nvidia or any other card? If so, can you please advise the cards that you are using.

we are planning to buy 13x Sapphire Pulse RX580, if anybody has experience with these, please let us know.

Yes, BBT built a 60 card farm with the ASUS B250 Mining Expert and Sapphire Pulse 4GB cards, 13 cards per motherboard.

Not sure there is anything official from Asus on that matter, maybe some third party software.

My Rig#2 is running 13 Nvidia cards.  (2) 1080 (4) 1060 and (7) 1050 TI   Asus B250 m/b Win 10 pro.  Stable as a rock.  Just basic Windows tweaks.

it looks like almost everyone with this board is running a combination of amd and nvidia cards? any reason not to do all amd or all nvidia? is anyone using simplemining? are all 3 molex/ATX connectors necessary? i have a server psu with a breakout board and i'm still playing with various mobo/cpu/card combinations trying to find the ideal one. having a lot of issues with the asrock h81 pro btc 2.0 and simplemining :/

I'm running on 2 13 gpu nvidia rigs using this mobo without any problems....only problem i have is the heat Smiley  I find it easier to not mix amd and nvidia to be honest with you..

i have some experience with about other motherboards but i always prefer to keep the gpus the same brand/style. evga 1060, pny 1080ti, msi 580. it makes it not only easier for bookkeeping for troubleshooting as well. i was just wondering why so many people were mixing gpus with this thing? i just setup this board about 10 minutes ago with 6 pny 1060 6gb, i'm about to go try to add 6 more.

have you tried getting more than 13 gpus on this thing?

edit: got 12 running fine, gonna try to do 16 on monday

For the millionth and one time in this thread...13 GPUs will work just fine but #14 - #19 has to be a P series card. IE: P106-100.

And there is no need to keep with the same brand or model series.  The board doesnt care when it comes to using #1 - #13 cards.  Troubleshooting is the same no matter what brand or series card used.

never tried...based on what i'm reading.  it won't happen unless it's a mining card (which I can't seem to find it cheap) or else it'll be nice to max them out Smiley

I have/had 3 13 gpu running (sold 1 that had 13 1050 ti's) with this board without any issues.  I tried the asrock one and for some reason..I was having issue running x16r algorithm (it'll randomly shut down).  Finally I got pissed and bought another b250 board from microcenter ($109) and replaced the motherboard on the same set up....starts right up and it hasn't shut down on me for 2 straight days now..
